Recommended: First of all, this hotel is very far (3/4 mile) from the nearest tube station. Second, the room we stayed in was pretty dirty and much smaller than depicted in the photos. Third, our room with a "partial river view" had a view of the abandoned building next door, the train tracks and, if I craned my neck and used a hand mirror, the river. The train tracks are very loud and the washer/dryer combo simply did not work. Other than that, the hotel is not too bad. For the price, it is a pretty good 3.5 to 4 star hotel. Recommended: This was not exactly what was expected. It is a group of apartments in a private apartment comlex owned by one individual who rents them out. When we arrived, the concierge was not very friendly and didn't know (or didn't care)about our rooms. We finally got him to contact the owner and from then on things were good. We were early and the apartment was still occupied so the owner found us a place to store our luggage so we could explore the area for a few hours. We had expected a two bedroom apartment but all that he had were two one bedroom flats on different floors. Since I was traveling with my wife and four children, this presented a bit of a challenge but worked out fine in the end. The location was great, right across the Thames from parliment and there were several good restaurants in the area. There is also a small store in the building for groceries. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and the owner was very helpful and friendly once we found him. I would definitely use them again in the future. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: The hotel has an excellent location; right on the tube and across from a wonderful park. There ends the benefits! The hotel staff was fluent in many languages. Unfortunately, English was not one of them. Our room was in the basement and offered a wonderful view of the back alleyway, through the window well. The decent into our room came with an overpowering odor of mold and mildew which did not subside until we left the hotel. See all reviews for this hotel
