Landlady was a typical no-nonsense Blackpool landlady (although originally from Liverpool) - initially a little frosty when she realised that we were 3 males sharing a room explaining that she normally only accepted families or couples. We were actually 3 lads there for the football - myself, my father and a friend. We had to pay a £60 deposit for our key and as a bond in case of breakages which was refunded when we left. She soon warmed to us when she realised we were decent, sensible lads and not wild, teenage stag party goers. Our room was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities and a TV. Small bathroom but with a decent hot shower. The room was slightly shabby with cracked and peeling wallpaper but for the price we were not bothered. Breakfast was prompt at 09:15 and consisted of a choice of cereal and toast followed by cooked breakfast - 2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 tomato, 1 poached egg and a single mushroom, not over-generous but adequate and ok for the price although a few more mushrooms and a portion of beans wouldn't have gone amiss! The guest house was located in a backstreet and fairly close to the front with the tower about a 10 minute walk away. Generally we were happy with our stay and would return.
