Good hotelPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Very clean and food very good
Cons: Room location was not great-lots of stairs
Location: On sea front and very close to town centre
Room very clean a liitle dark due to its location-facing onto back. However given that we received a really good deal price wise, we were very satisfied

disappointing for a best WesternPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: The position on the sea front
Cons: service, cleanliness and ensuring that it is possible to get into all of the shower cubicles.
Location: on the seafront in St. Annes, close to the railway station and only 10 minutes from Blackpool.
We had to be moved to 3 different rooms, the first room had a shower cubicle door that opened against the WC that made it very difficult or impossible to get in the shower, the second room had not been properly cleaned, the bin had not been emptied and when going to have a shower I found someone elses wet, used towels, we were moved to a third room that was much better but my partner had to turn on the shower because it was very stiff and the cubicle had black mould on the inside. The service at breakfast was not good, we had to ask if someone would take our order, it was taken but after waiting for 30 minutes someone else took it again, so it took an hour to have some breakfast. When we checked out the receptionist tried to charge us again for the room, and had to change the bill twice before she got it right.

Hospital VisitPosted Sep 29, 2013
Cons: Room number signage a little confusing but a challenge
I had travelled from Kent as I had an appointment with the surgeon that operated upon my son so I didnt have much time to enjoy the hotel, I would have liked to as it seemed very pleasant if my travels ever take me to that area again it would be my first choice.

SatisfactoryPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Ease of book-in/out. Pleasant staff, excellent breakfasts with waitress service for main food. For a two night stay this was ideal.
Only problem, other inconsiderate noisy banging doors guests late at night (well after midnight) and the early risers (6am) doing just the same.

nice location but bad servicePosted Aug 16, 2013
Location: very good
the hotel was in a lovely spot next to the beach the room was fine but the service at times was caotic had to go and find a barman both nights just to get a drink. the service at breakfast not good the first morning tables not cleared around us had to look at dirty dishes when eating breakfast.the cooked breakfast very disappointing half a slice of black pudding and one sausage very poor.the second morning had to send toast back twice not toasted just dry bread gave up in the end but my husband had a bacon sandwich which he said was very good.this hotel could be very good but trying to save on staff and food is loosing them business I am sure

Comfortable break.Posted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Comfortable bed/
Location: Seafront location on the prom.
Our room was superb, extremely comfortable and loads of room. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The view from our seaview window was stunning. We will certainly be returning the Best Western Glendower Hotel in the future.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were nice and friendly. We had room 128, it was very hot and the window opened on to a light well that was not very nice, and no cool air ventilation. But the price and location was good.
