A comfortable and convenient hotelPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Cosy and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff in the breakfast restaurant.
Cons: Reception staff. Parking at the entrance - people were disregarding the drop off - pick up zone and parking so that it was difficult to load bags.
Reception staff not helpful and unfriendly. We were not happy about the allocation of our 2 room not being near each other, but hey were not even prepared to explain to us why. First night, of 2 nights that we stayed here, very noisy and loud teenage guests did not let us have a peaceful sleep. The reception did not seemto have or were unwilling to give out any local information about town maps, activities, restaurants. Our rooms were cosy and comfortable but had small, cell like, windows.

Very nice hotelPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Best location for Pleasure Beach. Two thumbs up for the family room and the food. Parking is not a problem too.
Cons: Would be nice if the exclusive entrance to Pleasure Beach is open all throughout the park's opening time.
Location: Everything is nearby. Blackpool tower is a 5 minute drive or you can take the tram.
The weather wasn't that good but at least the hotel didn't let us down.

Right next to Pleasure and beach.Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Rooms were spacious.
Cons: Myself, I couldn't find anything for improvement
Location: Right next to Pleasure Beach and Water Slides although be there early as you could wait up till two hours for Pepsi Max and to get into water slides.
From day one we were made welcome by staff. Hotel, family friendly, breakfast excellent. We also enjoyed our evening meals, which were first class. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, nothing seemed to be a problem for them. Highly recommended.

Nice easy to find and well placedPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: nice bedrooms and a good position
Cons: Breakfast didn't' seem very well organised , we were told a 5 minute wait that turned into nearer 15 mins
Location: Good location for the fairground and close to get the Tram
Booked in for one night and would happily have stayed for more .The Reception Staff were very pleasant and the Evening meal a very enjoyable experience with good food and very good service from polite , helpful staff . Let down slightly by the fairly long wait for Breakfast , there seemed to be tables but not enough staff to clear them promptly

WonderfulPosted Jul 13, 2014
I stayed with my wife and 2 young kids in July. The hotel was very clean, fresh sheets and towels every day. The proximity to the pleasure beach couldn't be better, and just across the road from the beach. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Blackpool from now on.

The Big Blue Hotel is great for familiesPosted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: everything from the rooms, food, helpful staff and great location
Location: The hotel is right infront of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach and there's a VIP gate for guests to use.Near by is the Sandcastle water park and golf
Just back from a 5 night stay at the Big Blue Hotel with our granddaughter. The staff were very accommodating and gave us a top floor room as requested. The buffet breakfast as always was very good and plentiful and although busy with families, it was very quiet. We stayed at the Big Blue last year and will be booking again next year too as there are many websites, including the hotel's own, offering great deals.
