Lovely as always, but over priced as always

Lovely as always, but over priced as always. Food and drink is expensive given the room cost. But it is a nice and clean place to stay.

Hotel next to Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to, very comfortable, would recommend and def. come again.
Cons: Only that the delicious full English breakfast served could be hotter
Location: Not much on at this time of year (end of March)The tram stops across the road however, and is cheap and convenient to travel up and down the strip.
Big Blue Hotel - not only next to the Pleasure Beach park, but practically in it! Our room at the back gives a rider's view of the roller coasters. The Park is only open at the weekend at this time of year, thank goodness - it would be really noisy, but some people might like that.

Ideal location for the Pleasure Beach

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service, cleanliness of all windows
Location: Sandcastle, Pleasure beach
I was disappointed in the fact that after booking well in advance we were told on arrival the only restaurant in the hotel was fully booked, however we could approach them direct.

Our stay at the Big Blue

Posted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Good deal on the price for a good quality hotel
Cons: Could do with an easier way to access the Wi Fi although the staff were very helpful and it wasn't a big deal
Location: Right beside the amusements, but Blackpool looks like it's dying on its feet
The hotel is well located beside the amusement park we were just down as a couple in a double room but seen some of the family rooms as we passed and the bunk beds are located round a corner in the room so you could put the kids to bed but stay up yourselves. The rooms have DVD players which again is handy if you've kids Never had an evening meal in the restaurant but the breakfast was first class The staff were all very friendly and helpful
