Nice easy to find and well placedPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: nice bedrooms and a good position
Cons: Breakfast didn't' seem very well organised , we were told a 5 minute wait that turned into nearer 15 mins
Location: Good location for the fairground and close to get the Tram
Booked in for one night and would happily have stayed for more .The Reception Staff were very pleasant and the Evening meal a very enjoyable experience with good food and very good service from polite , helpful staff . Let down slightly by the fairly long wait for Breakfast , there seemed to be tables but not enough staff to clear them promptly

WonderfulPosted Jul 13, 2014
I stayed with my wife and 2 young kids in July. The hotel was very clean, fresh sheets and towels every day. The proximity to the pleasure beach couldn't be better, and just across the road from the beach. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Blackpool from now on.

The Big Blue Hotel is great for familiesPosted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: everything from the rooms, food, helpful staff and great location
Location: The hotel is right infront of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach and there's a VIP gate for guests to use.Near by is the Sandcastle water park and golf
Just back from a 5 night stay at the Big Blue Hotel with our granddaughter. The staff were very accommodating and gave us a top floor room as requested. The buffet breakfast as always was very good and plentiful and although busy with families, it was very quiet. We stayed at the Big Blue last year and will be booking again next year too as there are many websites, including the hotel's own, offering great deals.

Wonderful stay for my 25th Birthday :)Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: nice rooms and great view of the pleasure beach from our window
Arrived here on Monday 30th of June and when we arrived we were upgraded to a deluxe double room for my birthday which was lovely!! From our window we could see all the roller coasters in the pleasure beach including the big one which was great to see. We were given complimentary passes to walk round the park the 1st day and had wrist bands for the second. Breakfast was lovely and we also had free wifi included in our room package! Would recommend anyone to stay here if you are looking for a nice comfortable modern hotel. Would definitely come back here in the future :)

Location: Close to Pleasure Beach and tram and bus stops. South pier within walking distance.
Efficient reception staff and wonderful dining staff. Nothing too much trouble for them and they cater to your disability needs. Food was excellent with a BIG breakfast provide and good choice for evening meals. Enjoyed the stay very much and will return

Great family hotelPosted May 31, 2014
Pros: Great family rooms & service.
Great family rooms & close to the pleasure beach. Kids loved the bunk beds, their own TV's & the snakes & ladders game. Great location for the pleasure beach but a tram ride away from the tower. Downside, the restaurant seemed a little too formal in the evening for our 2 year old, there is a pizza hut 5 mins walk away but nothing else unless you want to drive somewhere.

A lovely hotelPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: A nice size and nice big room with lots of storage space to unpack. Plus a sea view!
Cons: I agree with other comments that some larger towels are needed!
Location: The only disappointment we had was no nice restaurants to go for a meal in. Most eateries were in the hotels and nothing sophisticated.
I looked at lots of hotels in Blackpool before choosing this one. It is eye-catching and looked clean, spacious and well maintained. Even though it was right next to the Pleasure Beach, this is the quiet end of the area. Even though signs said expect to queue for breakfast, as a couple our wait was short and breakfast didn't feel rushed or crowded.

Hotel in ideal locationPosted May 20, 2014
Pros: Position, staff and food
Location: Behind the hotel is the pleasure beach. After a 15 minute walk along the prom you are in central Blackpool where all the entertainment can be found .
From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were very pleased with the way we were treated by the staff, who were so friendly. We were offered a choice of rooms, and were very satisfied with our choice at the front of the hotel with a sea view to the side. The food was of a high standard, and we enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinner. It was very busy, but the service was speedy and efficient. We would certainly stay there again.
