Quality hotel right on the promenadePosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Past reviews have been spot on. The outside looks a little dated but the inside is bright and warm. Rooms are newly decorated and our room was surprisingly large despite being on the top floor occupying the roof space. We stayed there on the warmest day of the year and, quite rightly, the hotel isn't really geared up for this warm spell we are having but I can hardly fault them for the exceptionally warm weather and slight oven like temperature in the room. Breakfast is buffet style and is warm and plentiful. All in all a fantastic hotel for the price in a great location and opposite a tram stop if you don't fancy a walk to the Pleasure Beach/South Pier (10 minutes) or further. A word of warning about the "free parking". The hotel is set off the road in a crescent and the free parking refers to the spaces in the crescent. Once these are taken there is no extra room and it doesn't look as if there are any parking spaces specifically for the hotel. Availability is best earlier in the day. I was lucky arriving at 9pm but managed to find one spare space. It's not a problem out of season but in the busy summer holidays and illuminations seasons I can see it being a bit of an issue but certainly don't let it detract you from picking the hotel. There may be spaces in roads behind the hotel but I can't be sure whether they are controlled or not. On my next trip to Blackpool I will certainly be booking here again.

Not for a vegetarian or halal guestPosted Jul 1, 2013
Cons: Choice of Food
Location: Lovely location
We were told check in starts at 3:00 but we arrived around 1:00 and decided to try to check in and we were allowed. So was very happy about that. The room and bathroom were clean but the toilet could be cleaner. The room was warm enough and the mattress was very comfy. We did find the room very warm at night. It would be a good idea for a fan to be installed in the room. A few weeks before we were due to stay, I rang the hotel to ask if we could have a halal breakfast, i was told the hotel does not offer them but we could have a vegetarian breakfast instead. I didnt mind but the meals are set out in a way that totally disregarded a vegetarian. Eggs were placed beside bacon, sausages were beside beans so went guest a picking a piece of bacon, the oil from the bacon was getting into the eggs and same thing was happening to the beans when sausages were being served. If this total disregard for guest will be shown, they should have advertised it on their website. I dont understand why guest are not asked for their dietary requirements at the time of booking. I hope the hotel can take this on board and make the necessary changes beacuse we would like to come back again some day

Totally ExcellentPosted Jun 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Cant think of anything negative to say about this hotel. Arrived in town AM and drove past- went in to check parking availability and was told room was available if we wanted to check in early? Then the staff kindly moved the room as we would have been directly over a wedding party that was in the function room. Excellent location- about 10 min walk from Pleasure Beach and adjacent to a tram stop. Rooms were clean snd spotless and all staff were attentive, friendly and eager to help. Would definitely stay there again.

if you do not need to park or sleep stay here .Posted May 29, 2013
Pros: it had a bar
Cons: lift in room
The hotel was advertised with free parking; it should also add, first come first served. Yes parking is available, on the streets, when the carpark is full , the carpark is no where near big enough, i booked this hotel because it advertised parking i feel that the advertisment was a little mis leading and not quite the case . The room was a good size but did not expect the lift to be in it , all that seperated us from the lift was a very thin box shaped wall , to get any sleep in the room was impossible . There was damp above the tv in the corner .

Great Place to Stay!Posted May 21, 2013
A very pleasant hotel with helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good location with the tram stop outside the hotel provided easy access to the centre of Blackpool and its many attractions without the noise, hustle and bustle. Would recommend for families, couples and singles.

Lovely HotelPosted May 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
On arrival at the hotel we were moved to a room with seaviews for no extra charge. The double room was comfortable and clean; possibly a bit small for some people but fine for us (although the shower was very tiny!!). Could do with new TVs. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy. The 11am checkout time allowed for a bit of a lie in and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel and pick them up later. Although the hotel was a bit of a walk from the main attractions of Blackpool there were tram stops for both directions just across the road and daysaver tram tickets can be bought. All in all a decent hotel in Blackpool, we would stay there again.
