Great location clean good ratesPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: spacious clean friendly staff
Location: Right next to M6 - excellent spot
I had 2 nights at Preston South on a week long road trip. On the face of it much like all the other Holiday Inn express locations but scored well fro cleanliness good staff and large uncluttered reception.

Good halfway stopPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort, pleasant staff.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. The whole experience is always straight forward. Reception staff pleasant. Room (with only exception on 1 occasion) has been clean. Bathroom always sparkling clean. Bedding clean & comfortable. Good breakfast, nothing fancy but offer hot & cold options plus the kids always enjoy it. Location is good, not far from M6 and is a good halfway point for our journey to Scotland. Also close to Sainsburys where you can stock up on the essentials and petrol.

Good room, breakfast and location, friendly staffPosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in this hotel a few years ago, when it was very run down. It has since been renovated and is bright, clean and comfortable. Especially liked the shower, which is spacious and the temperature is stable - surprisingly uncommon! Good breakfast, and the location is very handy, right by the motorway; though we didn't hear any traffic. Overall, perfect for our needs.

Convenient locationPosted Dec 31, 2013
Pros: Very pleasant staff, clean hotel and good location.
Cons: We found the drinks from the bar very expensive - to the point of almost leaving them on the bar; 2 glasses of red house wine and a coke.
Location: Convenient to the M6 motorway and for our family and friends. There was also a supermarket and a couple of restaurants nearby.
As we entered the hotel, a lovely warm smile greeted us! It is so refreshing to see a hotel receptionist who has time to speak with her guests and a lovely personality to match. The hotel is modern, tastefully decorated and furnished and our room was very comfortable. The modern bathroom was spotless too. Our dog was comfortable and as we were located on the ground floor, this was very convenient (he is very well behaved anyway!) I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, or another one from the Holiday Inn group, we have changed our allegiance from another well known chain to this one! It offered excellent value for money, especially as it included breakfast, which could be considered basic; however it was a hot and cold buffet - juice, coffee, toast, pastries, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and beans; delicious, plentifully stocked and fesh. Well done Holiday Inn!
