have been to hotel twice now for short breaks
what can I say, good food, good service, nothing to much trouble
and the entertainment is excellent for a small hotel, even acts that I had seen before were just as good.
what a lovely couple, (family) daughter sings as well, brilliantly.
small extras like chocs and small gifts during the festive season, what a lovely thought!

Just started working at Altham and was looking for a comfortable place to stay. Tried a couple of others and then the Avenue and my search is over. From the easy parking and check-in to being shown to your comfy room (standard double on my first stay), the experience is faultless. The standard double room was cosy and the bed really comfortable and it was very quiet in the room. Bathroom was roomy and was fitted with a shower but no bath.
I had dinner the first night and the waitress service was top notch though the kitchen service was rather slow. Internet is complimentary and free and works great (almost a first for complimentary internet in my experience!).
Breakfast service was great as was the freshly cooked food.
Ate in again the second night and had the pork belly main (to die for) and the kitchen service was much better this time round).
Check-out was fast and easy as well.
Already booked for my next visit to Altham.

What a treat! The room we had was lovely - it was really big and so clean, with a big en-suite bathroom and a shower to die for! The standard of decor, both in the room and throughout is top notch, there's obviously a great attention to detail from everyone here. All of the staff / managers were lovely. The only thing we were a little confused with was that it isn't really clear who to see when checking in and when eating in the evening - this is done at the bar. We saw a few confused people, but overall it's not such a problem when you get the hang of it. You should eat in the restaurant as the food is really good too. - top marks to the chef.
We had a wonderful stay and definately recommend you go - we will be going back.
