very clean and well staffed hotel close to all major attractions .would recomend to anyone .

“Hotel was fine”

This is a Victorian style hotel which is what we wanted full of original fixtures. This is blackpool so it depends on what you find it suited us for the weekend we were there. Far enough from the city centre to be quite and only a short tram ride away from all the attractions

“Good, especially for the price.”

This is a good little hotel in Blackpool. The rooms are a little small (standard for England) but larger than average rooms in London. The rooms were fairly clean, with the exception of little mildew in the shower, but nothing too bad. The furniture and carpet were a little threadbare in places, but again, nothing too bad. The only down sides to this hotel were the fact that its just off the far end of the promenade, so not terribly convenient to any of the attractions. However there is bus and tram service that runs until 10 pm, and a cab from the Winter Gardens only runs about 4 pounds. Also, they are serious about the 3 pm check in time, which was disappointing after traveling 22 hours from Los Angeles and arriving at 1 pm to be told me room was not yet ready. However, these are all minimal irritations, and I would definitely stay here again.

“not impressed”

check in could not find us wanted double room given twin when this was pointed out on arrival we were told it would be changed or the beds put together neither was done We had to wait at the bar for staff to come All entertainment finished bang on 11.00pm - Could have left music or something as the wedding party in the next suit was still going on. breakfast although the food was good there was no one to show you were to sit and old plates were not cleared from the tables so even with the tables seating 10 it was not very nice to sit down with 6 places stacked with dirty plates bowls and cups

“Great Value for Money”

the hotel is situated within walking distance to local attractions, the staff were very friendly and helpfull the rooms themselves were not the best i have ever stayed in but were far from being the worst. The breakfast has a wide selection and was very enjoyable. Over all I was very satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it to others

“Great little place!”

After some of the reviews, I was a little worried about what I was getting, especially as I chose the cheapest room! I got there and the room was HUGE, plenty of space, a good view and everything seemed clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath in it which was unexpected! Breakfast was included and was a "help yourself" buffet style of both hot and cold food which was delicious! We were 24 and 26 year old males by the way.

“Breakfast was the best ever”

You can see that this Hotel was once a GREAT hotel, its a little bit run down but its clean,cheap, good location, sea views, and the Buffet Full English and continental Breakfast is just what you need after a night on the town

“Not impressed”

The hotel was like a noisey mad house. All floor boards were creaking, people running all over and could be herd via the floor boards. No staff controlling noise levels eg one child was banging and screaming on a door down the hall at 8am asking to be let in for 10 mins. Hotel is in some major need of repair even really bad paint work

all fabulous ref hotel except breakfast - where do i begin! Food excellent - the chef is superb Service - 20 dirty tables around where i was sitting waited 25 mins for eggs bacon and toast. cereal overflowing in a pile - ran out of tea coffee and juice on both days. I had breakfast at 8am one morning and also 9am both a disaster - Duty manager not available and when he did appear an hour later didnt handle my thoughts at all well staff said that they were in it for the money and nothing else. However I would not slate a hotel which just needs a bit of training and support. On 2nd day the night porter saved the day with topping up the hot buffett a true assett to the team.

“Basic but OK”

Overall the hotel is of an adequate standard. The bedroom was clean and recently decorated but the curtains were old and thin. The bed was comfortable and was good having tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom could have been cleaner but was ok. Breakfast was not great and was very busy - having had to wait to be seated it was nearing 920 (breakfast is served till 930) and nothing was replenished or topped up. For a one night stay it was okay for the price.
