Five stars in the middle of english countryside

Posted May 11, 2013
Pros: Its location for my meeting at BAE Systems was perfect Quiet countryside location World class rooms
Cons: Bathrobes and slippers for the Spa were very small Restuarant staff need to smile ,engage with the guests a little more and anticipate guests needs
Location: Long walks in the countryside are a great therapy for Jet Lag Two great indian restuarants close by Very close to BAE Systems if you have a meeting.
Spectacular is the only way I can describe this Hotel .After a long transatlantic flight from Vancouver Canada and needing to get over my jet lag fast before a important meeting , this hotel provided everything that I look for in a world class hotel. Beautiful , well equiped rooms, looking over the english countryside , pheasants wandering by outside , wonderful showers with large drenching showerhead. Down the passage way was a very elegant spa facility where I realxed in the hydrotherapy pool and had a very soothing massage. After a wonderful nights sleep , I awoke fully refreshed for my meeting at BAE Systems only 2 miles away. It is very rare to find a hotel of this quality anywhere , but to find it so far off the beaten track was a very pleasnt surprise

Pros: Luxery room, beautiful setting, food
Cons: Nothing, couldn't fault it.
Location: Not to be missed, an experience you will remember.
This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in. 5 star luxery, the rooms are superb, and the restaurant food is to die for. There is a spa and treatment centre also opeing very soon and I will be back for that without a doubt. Commercial event facilities, weddings or just a special romantic stay for two. Don't miss it what a find! VH

Stanley House Hotel is a proper gem - go there!!

Well, what can be said. Once you find the place (satnavs can actually take you the long way round!) the initial impressions are that you're netering some sort of golf club. But once you get into the place, the buildings and the rooms in particular (at the moment there are only 12 I believe) are stunning. The furnishings and the whole feel of the manor house is wonderful. The staff are very helpful and friendly, espoecially in the excellent restaurant. The setting is beautiful and it is just far enough off the beaten track to be totally quiet at night but close enough to the main road for easy access to motorways etc. Great little place
