avoid unless on hen or stag nightPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Arrived at the hotel to a guy with no top on, he started shouting top of his voice upstairs to the cleaner tracey. to see if our room was ready, went in the room old bottle top on floor. Went to get plastic cup so we could Gate a drink only one and only one mug. At night I was going to put the little light on no bulb in. My partner went to have a shower and ask me to pass a towel, no towels in the room, so I went downstairs no towels in the hotel omg(the lady was very nice though and she was embarrass about it) so my partner had to drip dry. Comfy bed though and the owner very nice. Won't stay there again afraid.

worst hotel I have ever stayedPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The only good thing about Wembley hotel is that it is on the Promenade. You will be on the beach within minutes. But it is very noisy at night if you have a sea view room and open the window at night. The hotel is under decoration, the carpet is very old and smelly. I was given a sea view room but the room condition is horrible. There are no towels provided in the room. I need to ask for it myself. The TV has image only but no sound. There is no one at the reception at night. I made a complaint to the landlady the next day and she asked her only staff to replace the small set top box. After the replacement, the TV has sound for one night but it reverted to no sound the next day. I did not bother complaining again as I only stayed in Blackpool for two nights. The shower room has a sliding door but it was broken. The shower water temperature is either cold or too hot. Most of the curtain hooks have fallen on the floor and the curtain rail is not secured on the wall. The curtain fell off the rail when my wife tried to close it. The mattress on the bed is not comfortable. You can feel the spring when you lied down on it. We asked the landlady to change to another room after one night stay but our request was refused as she told us the hotel was full. We later found out that the display on the hotel window still advertised vacancies. We would never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
