A Simply Wonderful ExperiencePosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: The house was so beautifully restored and well kept up! I have never felt so at home. The beds and bedding were so comfortable!!
Cons: The only thing that was a bit annoying was the road noise from our room. My cousin slept in a room at the back of the house and had no issue.
Location: Located in Gordonville, it's in the heart of Amish Country. There is an unlimited number of things to see and do!! I want to go back in the summer!
We arrived at this B and B and were instantly greeted by the smiling host who went on to be a wealth of information about the area and all the things to see and do. The home itself was just beautiful and it was the cleanest facility I have ever had the privilege to stay in. Due to the weather, we just kicked back for the night and it was like being at home. There was an abundance of books, tea, coffee and snacks and a puzzle table that challenged us for hours.

Quaint with a Gourmet BreakfastPosted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our room was very welcoming and cozy. The B&B was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Robert, the innkeeper, was very accommodating, and made a beautiful and delicious breakfast which we enjoyed in the quaint breakfast room. Would definitely return. Highly recommend. Great location and very quiet for being on a main road. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great LoctionPosted Sep 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
After Eight is a great place to spend a few days while touring Amish Country. The Innkeeper Robert was very helpful in planning our day trips. He also served an awesome breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend this B&B. P&G

The host, Robert, is a gregarious and gracious host. I cannot say enough about how pleasant our stay was. Robert gives a thorough walk through of his place and then personally assists you with plans for sightseeing, dining, etc. He provided us with a map of the area and marked spots of places we would be interested in visiting. He has menus available for making dining chooses and a huge array of pamphlets and such for the area attractions. His rooms are clean, spacious and are well stocked with top of the line linens and towels. Every comfort is attended to and guests are invited to help themselves to drinks, snacks, books, games and the like. The outdoor grounds are well maintained and are comfortable as well as pleasing to the eye. I felt like family while there.

great hotel but...Posted Aug 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is great, room is very nice, breakfast is very good, and the hotel owner is very friendly. The only downside is that the hotel is right on the main road, so you hear the cars all night. If you don't care about noise at night, that's the place for you, but if you are used to quite while sleeping, you will have hard time to sleep

Bonito, limpio y hogareño.Posted Aug 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Es como estar en una casa rural, el entorno es bonito, la casa cuida todos los detalles. Robert el dueño te hace los desayunos y luego los ameniza con un humor muy britis"". Dudo que regrese a Lancaster, pero si lo recordaremos siempre.

Intimate B&BPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very personable proprietor.
Cons: It would be nice if breakfast began at 8 vs 8:30 for the long distance travelers
Location: For the Civil War buff - Gettysburg, PA. This is Amish and Mennonite country and there are wonderful shops and places to eat everywhere.
This is a lovely, intimate B&B outside the hustle and bustle of Lancaster. Robert Hall is a one man band- owner and chief cook and bottle-washer. He is actually quite a good cook as well. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the banana bread with hand-whipped chantilly cream. I would highly recommend After 8 to anyone.
