“Good hotel in a great little town”

This is the only hotel in Lancaster, and I'm usually not a Best Western kind of traveller, but my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is just off the town square, and has plenty of parking (we actually parked on the street right out front). They were sold out that night, so I'm glad we had our Expedia reservation. The staff were fine, and the room itself, although small and slightly dated, was absolutley spotless. The furnishings, bedding, carpet and bathrom were fresh, clean, and had no odors. A/C worked great, and you could open the window as well. The town was charming, with a coule of nice little places to eat, and several taverns with friendly folks. Take a walk around, the homes are beautiful, and the shops around the sqaure are neat.. It's a motel in a small town, but I would absolutley stay there again.

We were pretty limited on where we could stay as many other hotels were all booked up. It was a place to stay.

“OK hotel if you're desperate, very nice town.”

Our room reeked of smoke and looked like the 1970s. (Some of the rooms appear to be long term rentals) Were we in a dead old smoker's room which needed repainting and new carpet ? It seemed so. I think we were given the worst room in the hotel after booking over the internet. I had called the hotel directly and was told the room was $ XXX night, but booked through expedia for $XX. I thought it was a good deal until we went to the room. I suspect that for full price our room selection would have been nicer. The room we were given was barely adequate with the windows left open all night and fans on.
