Bed Problem

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: beds
Location: Location was fine
Our bed was sagging and made a terrible noise any time one of us rolled over or moved,I told the staff about the problem in the morning but they did not offer to do anything. We arrived back at the room and did not go to bed until after the office closed. I think that when you pay the price that most higher quality hotels charge they could have at least offered to adjust the price or offer some future discount. We really expected this lodging to be equal to or better than Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn for the price we paid.

Our Visit to Bird-in-Hand

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel is quaint outside and in. We enjoyed having a snack in the evening while visiting with some of the other guests that were staying there.
Cons: We were there on a Sunday evening; places close early that evening. We thought we would have a DVD machine in the room to sit and enjoy a movie.
Location: The restaurant is just up the street. We also enjoyed going to the farm, schoolhouse, and film at Plan and Fancy Farm.
We had a wonderful visit to this small town. We found the people at the inn very warm and friendly. We ate at the Bird-in-Hand Restaurant and really enjoyed that experience. We would recommend the inn and the restaurant.

Real nice place to stay would recommend

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: It's in the middle Amsh country the staff recommended a diner up the road a traditional Amish restaurant including a carvery which was very good
Cons: Lower the ramps in the car park I busted the lower grill on my hire car, although insured I felt bad about it?
Location: I was only staying one night enjoyed it all the restaurant seeing the local folk driving round it there buggies which was good to see
I choose this place due to the Amish connection, I was staying in the annex building across the road, everything about this place was great the comfort and homeliness was wonderful I had breakfast in the main building which was nice, lots other guests staying so that made it nice

Bird in Hand Village Inn

Bird in Hand Village Inn and Suites is a nicely furnish county home. The rooms are very spacious, bed comfortable, plus a few comfortable chairs. Nice breakfast in the morning, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, and muffins.

Cozy, quaint, comfortable...convenient!

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: We liked the feeling of "stepping back in time" without sacrificing modern conveniences. And the close proximity to local attractions was wonderful.
Cons: Effort was made to freshen the room aroma ... a little musty smell may have been from the time of year(?) It did not hinder the overall experience.
Location: We took in a show at the American Music Theater. And all the stuff in Bird In Hand was in walking distance to our accomodations!
We've been regular Lancaster County visitors for many years. Didn't know the Bird In Hand Inn and Suites existed until I happened upon it on Expedia. I needed a one-night reservation and it was close to the American Music Theater, so I booked it. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and every effort made to make us feel comfortable.

Quaint getaway inn

Posted Nov 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was beautifully appointed and felt like a step back in time. Location was great... Antique shops right next door, Intercourse Pa with its unique shops and Lancaster outlets were only minutes away. The staff was amazing!!! Friendly & knowledgeable and they even offered us cookies upon arrival.

Charming inn right in the heart of Amish country

Posted Nov 25, 2013
We stayed in the carriage house, had a 2-room suite. It was roomy, warm and decorated in a beautiful 19th century style. The breakdast (included in the rate) was bountifuland very good. Looking forward to our next stay when we re-visit lancaster area.

Peaceful Getaway

Posted Nov 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We've stayed @ Bird-In-Hand several times and are always delighted! Right in the heart of Amish country -- shops, peaceful, stress free getaway! Even the clip-clopping sound of the horses on the street adds to the ambiance! Evening snack is also an extra treat!
