Pros: Was great for weekend escape.
Location: Convenient. We walked the The Baker's Table around the corner for an excellent brunch on Sunday. Short drive to Central Market, Amish Village
The restaurant was not excellent, but decent. The room was clean but fairly run-of-the-mill, unlike many of the photos on the hotel website. The stairways were beautiful wood, but the rest of the common areas were standard, with wall to wall carpet and drywall. We were near the ballroom while a wedding party was in full swing, but it was very quiet in our room. Overall, an excellent, though not extraordinary, place to stay.

Unique hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Uniquesness
Cons: Room lighting and shades
Not the typical chain hotel. We enjoyed our stay overall. The only negatives would b e the darkness of the room and no room darkening shades for the morning sun. Ice machine in our building wasn't working but staff was very helpful in getting ice for us. We have to keep my husband's insulin cool. Overall a great place to stay. Nice continental breakfast.

Awesome Staff Surprise engagement

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: from the outside appearance to the staff all was #1
Cons: nothing
Location: center of Lancaster...too many things to list to do
I chose the cork hotel for its historical beauty and the restaurant...I wanted room service when I called and talked to the manager she told me that didn't really offer room service..i explained to her my plan of giving my girlfriend a engagement ring, I wanted it delivered with the meal as a surprise all I will tell you is this. The staff of the cork hotel went above and beyond in making this happen for me it went off with out a hitch. They even put rose petals under the dish cover with the ring in the center, after the shock wore off I slipped the ring on her finger and she said yes!!!! the food was great complimentary bottle of Champaign, the whole experience was perfect I have been traveling my whole life and this is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in

Trip Home

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Good sized rooms, the bathroom had a stand up shower
Cons: Perhaps a minibar, better Wifi
Location: It's close to several restaurants and attractions, easy to get to
I stayed at the Cork Factory hotel primarily because I was coming home on vacation and issues at my house that weren't going to be taken care of until the day after I arrived.

Boutique hotel in Lancaster

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Attractive interesting space.
Cons: Better sound-proofing between at least the 3rd & 4th floors.
Location: On the edge of the Lancaster city center and close to the Lancaster Brewery.
We stayed in the Cork Factory hotel while attending a college reunion which left us not enough time to indulge in what the hotel and surrounding area had to offer. Parking was a bit challenging with a wedding going on, but we always found a spot. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed just fine. The bedside lamps were a bit anemic for reading. We also heard the folks walking about in the room above us -- the bare rafters were attractive, but more sound-proofing would be welcome. We did have dessert one night in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent and plentiful and the service was good. The fitness center is small and has exactly four pieces of equipment -- the stationary bike was semi-broken -- but worked for us as no one else partook while we sweated.

Only stay if you don't plan on sleeping

Walls are so thin in the prison cell size rooms that the gentleman having a phone conversation at 11 PM in the next room sounded like he was sitting in the bathroom. Loud creaking floors. Thin walls. Loud guests.

Cork Factory Hotel

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Rooms were very spacious and comfortable beds and a big bathroom.
Cons: Maybe include a omelet station
Location: Close to Penn Square and outlets.
Recommended by friends, this hotel was a plus for our weekend trip. Factory turned into hotel and it was done with a flair. The bolted wood beams gave a touch and the rooms were extremely comfortable. Unusually large room and bathroom were a plus. Wish it had a pool and buffet breakfast but none the less, there continental breakfast had great fresh fruit and so much more. We will definitely go back.
