“Beautiful, quaint, and will return!”
I needed to stop on my way from DC to New Hampshire and decided to stay here based on the write-up on the web. I'm glad I did. I am NOT a B&B guy, but the price was right. I'm so glad I stayed here because the place is wonderful and the host was VERY helpful in planning my bicycle ride that I took the next morning. (I wanted to bicycle in the Amish country and my 30-mile ride was SPECTACULAR!) Only when I returned after my ride did I see the B&B for the gem it was! The grounds were in full bloom. My single room was cozy and the bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. The ONLY ding is that there's some highway noise at night. (I missed breakfast, so I can't comment on the second B in B&B.)
“review”
great stay . hope to go back.
“Great B & B”
We stayed in the Carriage House, and our room was large and clean. Property is beautifully landscaped and even though it wasn't warm enough to go in the pool we sat at the pool and read. A little bit of street noise at the pool. By far the best place we stayed during our trip to Lancaster County and one of the most reasonable. Highly recommend it.
“Better than expected”
Guests have a choce of a Continental breakfast or a prepared meal that is served with a touch of home hospitality. The rooms were comfortable withan addition that had rooms that overlooded an Amish farmer hard at work. The town was quiet and friendly with plenty of little shops to lure your wallet open to. Look forwared to returning soon.
“Strawberry crepes for breakfast!”
Lovely B&B, quiet. Went in March, so flowers not yet in bloom-- would be worth a trip back to see the garden! Relaxed atmosphere, with Amish farms nearby. One caution--- if you have trouble with stairs, make sure you ask for a room on a lower level.
“Good Place to Stay”
The Greystone Manor is a nice place to stay. It was built around 1885 and is well maintained. Easy to find. Right onThe Old Philadelphia Pike. Very Close to Bird-In-Hand adn only a fewe miles down the road from Intercourse, a town that has most of the shops in the area. We were happy to be given a room in the main house. The room we had on the third floor was small but comfortable and clean. There was a continental breakfast but for a little more you could have a nice hot breakfast. the inn keepers were very nice and knowledgable about the area. For $30 more you could get coupons that were good for a buggy ride for two, $25 off a dinner and other things that made it well worth the purchase. My wife and I were going to stay one night and then leave for home, but decded to stay another night, if there was a room available. The Inn keepers were gracious enought to let us stay another night, in the same room, for the same price we had paid previously. We thought that was very accomodating. We would recommend staying at the Grey Manor Inn bed and breakfast if it is in your price range. We found the prcie to be better than most hotels in the area. It's convient and charming.
“Great getaway.”
Owners were very pleasant. Charming room. Hope to get back soon for longer stay.
“Loved it!”
My husband and I had a fabulous time! It was our first bed and breakfast and we will definitely visit Greystone in the future. The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The experience of the Lancaster area was great---Amish dining, sightseeing, horseback riding, shopping, etc.
“great experience”
our hotel experience was great. my wife and i had a dr's appointment in the area, and it was more convient to stay down that way, rather that make the trip back home. the only complaint that i have was i am handicapped, and my wife and i were put on the top floor. and that was hard on my back
“Lancaster County Delight”
We were extremely pleased with this bed and breakfast. The room was large and tastefully decorated as was the attached bath, which had a shower for two and a claw foot bathtub for soaking! (King size bed was a little firm for our taste.) There are lovely gardens and a pool and hot tub. We will definitely be returning to stay again!
