Never again

Posted Aug 23, 2014
The hotel staff was nice... The hotel itself was atrocious. The room was deplorable (the rug and bathroom were disgusting). The toilet couldn't be flushed more than once in a 20 min period. The phone didn't work. The food was absolutely gross and the dishes were not clean. Absolutely never again

Okay Hotel

Posted Aug 21, 2014
The nicest part of the hotel is the lobby. That's it. The rooms are small, beds are uncomfortable. Complained twice about our toilet being clogged and on our last day the water wasn't working. Horrible.. The two pools are nice except one is freezing. The hotel needs some work before it totally falls apart.

Nice but so different

Posted Aug 19, 2014
The hotel is good, but I don't think I will go there again. It has fancy lobby but everything else is antique. Rooms were cold at night in August and they said it is old system, works either AC or heat and of course they had the heat off. Outdoor pool looks nice but so cold, indoor good but so crowded and very high in clorreen. The thing my kids like was the one hour they do only in weekend about decorate your own cupcake or doing s'mores. Over all the stay was ok and different, good to try for one time not more.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Not much. Would not stay here again as the room was too disappointing.
Cons: The hotel has a lovely lobby. After that, the rooms, hallways etc need to be refurbished.
Location: Lancaster Pa. has a lot of attractions.
The carpets were badly stained. The entry door from outside to the halls was broken so there was no security for the hall way. Entrance B The ice machine was out of order. The beds were old, lumpy and the bedding was bought when the hotel was built. Dingy grey and old. The tv was vintage 60's and half the stations cut in and out. The bathroom sink had 6 cracks in the base and the shower head dribbled out water.

A Bit Disappointing

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Staff was great - very nice and helpful. The location was great - room was clean. Rooms were, however worn and need an upgrade. Bathtub showed signs of wear especially. Also it was the noisiest hotel I think I've ever stayed in. Food was mediocre for the price - like diner food. Warning - this seems to be a family atmosphere so unless you like kids screaming in the hall at 1:00 AM and dogs barking in an adjoining room at all hours, stay elsewhere.

Great Hotel and Location

Stayed one night, it was really nice though. Clean and friendly staff also. There's lots to do there as well as nearby. I'd go back again for sure!

Nice hotel, did the job.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Remodel, pool (outdoor bar was cautioned off, had a lot of amenities but not in use)
We spent the day at the Dutch Wonderland and decided to stay the night in the area. We drove to various hotels seeking one with a decent pool. I was very happy to find this one. It seemed to be very busy and the place to be. Unfortunately when checking in, the staff could not find our reservation we booked via Expedia. Because they were so busy, we had to wait for someone to come back from break. It was a bit uncomfortable to sit in the busy lobby with our luggage and a cranky 5 year old. We finally did get our room and the rooms were okay. Definitely can use a remodel as the indoor pool was dirty, the ceilings have leaking/stains as you walk down the hallways, and the room could have been cleaner. Other than that, did the job, would stay again for the rate we got via Expedia.

I was there for a conference. The rooms were nothing fancy. The patio door had to be fixed during our stay. There were issues with the plumbing one night, and we only had EXTREMELY hot water for a few hours (not good when you are traveling with a 4 year old). Our toilet ran almost all the time.
