Great hotel in the middle of nowhere

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The Coffee was amazing.
Cons: The breakfast option
Location: It was close to Hershey Park.
Our family experience was amazing at this Hotel. Getting to the hotel was kind of a hassle because our family was not use to most of the roads not have any street lights, but we made it to the hotel with little issues. The people were very polite and respectful. The breakfast option was somewhat mediocre, but the coffee that was offered was really good, and I am usually a picky coffee drinker.

Wedding at the Renn Faire

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: The close proximity to cows was a bit of a surprise coming back from dinner in the evening.
Location: It is very close to the PA Renaissance Faire. Close the the outlets in Lancaster and close to York.
We had a most pleasant stay at the Lancaster Inn. The staff was great, free breakfast was yummy and it was close to the Renn Faire where we were attending a wedding. The front desk was very helpful and the cookies were YUMMY!!!

Close to Lancaster

Posted Jul 27, 2014
My girlfriends and I wanted to stay close to Lancaster overnight. The Lancaster Inn and suites was convenient to Lancaster and Bird in hand, good selection of eateries nearby, and clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful in finding a place to have dinner and a glass of wine! We visited the pool, which was small, but refreshing- though no spa was available, and it is listed in the amenities for the hotel. Love the cookies!

Nice hotel put us close to our relatives. but..

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Cons: The one room we were in, they should spend time on odor removal before it gets worse. I think they are interested in room turn-over.
Hotel was nice but after a couple of days, you can tell their clients are mostly local sports teams. This was convenient for us because it put us close to our relatives. When we were there, the team took over the pool and was doing some type of stretching routines in unison, churning up the water like a washing machine. The room though had a distinct pet urine smell. House keeping would cover it up with heavy gardenia spay over our 3 day stay. They were definitely aware of it. If it was not for the smell it would be a very nice room, so other rooms maybe very nice. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend who had general hotel needs. We had specific needs to be in the area so we put up with it. We would be willing to go back and try a different room.

You can do better in Lancaster County

I've never panned a hotel online before, but these guys irked me a bit. Bad timing for us -- hotel overrun with youth soccer tournament. Hotel location sort of in the middle of nowhere, between towns and surrounded by industrial car auctioneering businesses. Pool not open. No kitchen, and the restaurant next door was out of business. We didn't mind any of that, but the demands of the many guests seemed to overwhelm the good sense of the hotel staff. Long story short, something came up and we needed a slightly late check out (like 30-45 minutes would have helped), hotel staff curtly refused, rather unpleasantly, room cleaning staff candidly confided that the soccer teams were getting 2hr late check out and the cleaning staff had nothing to do till then anyway, we were leaving Sunday so hardly a great need for our room, but no dice. It was all very short-sighted and irritating, induced some stress into our schedule, not what we had in mind for a get-away to quiet Dutch country.

Extremely clean and well maintained facility. Great staff, beds, pillows (didn't have to bring my own) and bath. 3 day stay. Highly recommend.

Great stay...

The hotel is quite easy to find, mainly because it sticks out pretty easy from the surrounding farmland. Upon check in we found the room to be clean and to smell the part. The room itself was nothing fancy, two beds, a fridge, a microwave but it was all in working order and made staying even easier. The thing that impressed me the most was after breakfast on the day of check out (breakfast was fine, again, nothing crazy-but it was fine). We made our way out the side entrance/exit of the hotel and I heard some cheering in the distance. I looked over and about 150 yards from the hotel were hundreds (300 maybe) of people watching soccer games being played in the fields. While in the hotel I never heard all these people driving up or cheering. I was impressed that not too far from the hotel was a huge group of people and I never knew they were there. The main road that runs in front of the hotel was surprisingly busy but it was still not a problem (and we were on the first flood). If i ever find myself in the area again, i would definitely stay at the hotel again.
