Excellent Hotel near shows and outletsPosted Nov 23, 2013
Cons: Add yogurt to breakfast
Location: Mentioned above
Booked through Expedia and no problems at check in or when checking out. The room was quite adequate in size and was very clean. Wife was happy so we were all happy. The breakfast was just okay. Serving just the basic stuff (waffles, 4 cereals, muffins and fresh fruit of whole oranges and apples. The hotel is very near our favorite places -The American Music Theatre and Sight and Sound. Also, the Rockvale Outlets are very near. There is a lot of activity in the area and many areas, such as the Dutch Country is all decked out in lights. We enjoyed out stay.,

Nice PlacePosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: The staff was extremely polite and helpful
Location: The main reason for our stay was to see the Christmas show at the American Music Theater - which was just down the road.
We decided on this hotel because of the chain reputation and price. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were pleasently surprised by the hot breakfast served which was fresh and tasty.

Just okay...Posted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: Good location next to Texas Roadhouse. Easy access to elevator.
Cons: The quality and feel of the place. Just felt a bit run down and old, not much of an atmosphere to it. Needs an upgrade.
Location: Near the outlets, American Music Theater, and Dutch Wonderland.
This Red Roof Inn is your basic budget hotel. No frills whatsoever. It is not a place to go for a romantic getaway or for a comfortable room to work in. The Pros * The bed was comfortable enough, neither hard nor soft. * There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. * The TV has lots of stations. One of those big old TVs with a picture tube, a bit blurry. * The towels were new and large enough. Basic stuff, nothing fancy. * The owners seem to be a family and were easy to work with and very business-like. The Cons * The bedding was real basic and the sheets were bargain basement quality. * The pillows seem like flat slabs of foam stuffed in a pillow case. Either that or they are so old that the polyfiber stuffing has compressed into a flat slab of a pillow. Very poor quality. * The soap was the size of a large SD memory card. You get three with the room. * The shampoo is in one of those tear off plastic envelopes. * The bathroom floor had the feel of summer camp with a basic unvarnished wood or tan laminate surface, almost like someone had stripped it and never refinished it. * The bathtub had a hand rail that was several pieces of tan pvc pipe sections kind of glued together. Functional with a MacGyver type feel to it. Surprised me. * No comfortable chair to sit in to watch TV. You could certainly sit on your bed and watch but it didn't work for me. No space. Adequate but no frills and no feeling of "That was nice!"
