affordable hotel with nice pool for our grandchild

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: It meets our needs and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: needs some general maintenance. Bathrooms in lobby are out of order and were a month ago during a previous stay.
Location: Lancaster county. Plenty to do Strasburg railroad, sight and sound, good eating, crafts.
went away overnight to treat our grandchildren. had a great time in the swimming pool and in the motel room later in the evening. the kids loved the simple continental breakfast.

Nestled between Route 30 & quaint Amish farm field

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Continental breakfast included, quiet, pool, free wifi
Location: Rough and Tumble, Thresherman's Reunion, Moses play @ Sight and Sound
Roadway Inn is set far enough from the road that you don't hear any highway noise, not even from the pool. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. The facilities are a little old but clean and everything in my room worked. The first room I got was clean but smelled like cigarette smoke, I requested and quickly received another room.

The hotel is a little old but it was clean and the staff was great even with our late arrival. Beds were small but comfortable.

Nicest people, needs better housekeeping

Like I said, nicest desk clerk ever, but hotel is run down, but their housekeeping isn't good. Bed was fine but I probably won't stay there again.

Plain, not Fancy.

This is a well run Rodeway Inn. The room was clean, the lobby clean, the grounds well cared for. Just as it was a year ago. The breakfast was adequate, and the manager keeps a close eye on the supply of breakfast foods, which is why we came back. If we go to Lancaster for the 2015 TCI Spring Show, we'll stay here again.

Location is fantastic - you can walk to dinner and shopping. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Always updating accomodations and one of the VERY few places without bed bugs! Rates ain't too shabby either!

Clean & close to everything!

We stayed for the weekend for my birthday in May. Our room was very clean & the bathroom appered to be freshly remodeled. The breakfast selection was good, danishes, cereal, coffee, juice, muffins etc. The front desk people were really friendly & helpful. Very comfy for a cheap room! There is no elevator so if you can't do steps request 1st floor. We plan on staying there again in July & October! Highly reccomend it!
