Pros: Atmosphere, accommodations, breakfast!
Location: Theater, shopping, dining options.
Great resort, comfortable, cozy - good for girlfriends getaway. Close to shopping, spa was great, too!

Lovely but paper thin walls

Posted Aug 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel and grounds are beautiful and a wonderful hideaway. Walls were paper thin, could hear neighbors talking, kids room hopping, coughing, TV and passerby outside could be heard like he was right behind us. Breakfast was very good with excellent service. Room was not serviced as well as expected for this type of property. Would stay again, would recommend the hotel. Just needs a few tweaks to be perfect.

cleanliness !

Room 404 was very nice and clean except for one item. The bouquet of artificial flowers on the vanity was filthy, full of dust and dirt.

the best place to stay in lancaster county

we would go back again--the inn is beautiful--the bathroom should be more updated with two sinks and a better bathtub--the breakfast was great--and the staff very friendly

Nice but no 4 star

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Location: Visited the Pennsylvania railroad museum about 20 minutes away
Very nice hotel but certainly NOT a 4 star hotel. Public areas were beautiful but room was a lot smaller than I would have expected at a 4 star hotel. Bathroom was really small. Clock and phone by bed did not work. All in all it was a nice place but if you are expecting a typical 4 star hotel don't stay here...save money and find another hotel.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Comfortable

Posted Aug 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Our trip to Lancaster included the Sights and Sounds Theatre and exploring the Amish farmlands, and the inn is only minutes from both. The garden grounds are beautiful and impeccable and we enjoyed an evening walk as a family throughout them. The rooms were very clean and the service was friendly and punctual. The European style breakfast was held in their lovely restaurant, and had enough variety to satisfy my two children, husband and myself. My children loved the homemade baked treats that were left on the night side table each day. We loved staying in the peaceful, country setting...what a nice change from the bustling, fast paced life in the city. We would definitely return.
