Great Motel! Close to everything

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Very clean. Even the grounds were well kept. Staff was always available and were always willing to help with anything. Such nice people.
Cons: The kids wanted a pool, but a very minor thing. Everything else was wonderful.
Location: Central to many attractions. Sight and sound theater, (incredible), shops, restaurants, scenery... We were able to see how the Amish people live.
We had a great stay. Immaculate, comfortable, staff was very, very friendly and a wealth of info for places to eat and attractions. When we needed an ironing board, it was brought over to us instantly. Coffee and a small breakfast were provided for us. We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights and we will go back there. Very helpful staff. The 3 other families that stayed with us in other rooms were as delighted with their stay as we were. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel for an overnight stay

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: More cable channels
Location: Very close to multiple restaurants. Also close to Strasburg Railroad which was a plus for us!
Room was very clean which is great when you are traveling with kids. Very please with the bathroom and how clean it was as well. Only downfall is there is not a lot of channels available on the TV and when you have young children, that is a necessity in order to keep them occupied before bed. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay here.

Not worth the money.

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: The bed was nice.
Cons: The price.The amenities.The staff.
Lot's of skimping for the high price. Only one hand towel to be shared by multiple guests. Only one soap bar to be shared between the sink and shower.Only shampoo, no lotion or conditioner. The staff was not around much of the time. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7 am but at 7:11 the office and breakfast area was closed and locked. We had to go off to our race without breakfast as we could not wait any longer. Several times when we went by the office, no one was around. I don't know what we would have done if we had had a problem with the facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Close to all activities in the area

Pros: The staff were friendly. The rooms were very large and comfortable.
Cons: I don't see anything that would make this any better
Location: Located in the heart of amish country. Less than a mile to outlet malls. Close to restaurants and all the gift shops and amish farms.
Staff was outstanding. They greeted you from the start just like you knew them all your life. The room was large and modern with comfortable beds. This is an older style motel but has been updated to be as good as any chain motel. Parking is right in front of your door with plenty of spaces for cars. Being an older motel you have to go outside to go to the breakfast area but it is a short distance. Breakfast is the basics with donuts, bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, and juice. Some people would say this is to simple but it is more than we would eat at home. If a big breakfast is important to you than go to the hotels that charge $50 dollars more so you can get a waffle. They have nice grass area with chairs to sit in and enjoy the day.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Location: It's close to everything - stores, theaters, Sight n Sound, Amish farms, train museum, etc
We were Pleasantly surprised. There weren't many hotel room left available this weekend so I chose this one based on the scores it showed and the price. Being an older hotel in a busy area, we didn't think it would be that great. There weren't many cars there and the courtyard was a little dark so we wondered. But the TV, toilet, bathtub, sink, faucet, and rug seemed fairly recent. It had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed and pillows were not luxurious but were firm and comfortable if you like firm. It was quiet - especially for such a busy area. Both my wife and I slept better the first night than we usually do at an unfamiliar hotel. They had a gazebo and several picnic tables and behind the hotel were farm fields with an Amish farm up the hill. I should say that next door there was a closed down gas station and on the other side are two hotels but you can't see them from your room.
