Hotel provided excellent service, breakfast, very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to several beach areas and sights to visit. We had a terrific stay at the Dunedin, highly recommendable.

"Review of Hotel Penzance, Brittons Hill, Penzance"
We came down to Cornwall on a flying visit to join our family for a surprise birthday party. The hotel is a fair bit bigger than appears from the initial approach. Parking could be a little tricky if you have a large 4x4 because the access is steep and fairly narrow. We were in room 26 right at the top with great views overlooking Mounts's Bay and Marazion. The room was fairly small with low eaves, but clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was particularly comfortable; I get back aches and had no problems. We enjoyed a few cocktails in the bar and enjoyed a meal afterwards. The standard was excellent, but perhaps the portions were a little on the small size.

"A hidden treasure!"
Usually when your sat nav directs you down a narrow lane you become very suspicious! In this case the sat nav was correct and the hotel lies tucked away round the corner but literally 25 meters from the beach. The hotel has been updated very sympathetically form its former Victorian glory. The decor and furnishings were tasteful and pleasing to the eye. The receptionist was both polite but informally friendly and helpful. We chose a room without a sea view but with a small balcony; we only stayed one night and with uncertain weather, we didn't want to pay the extra. The room was compact, as was the en suite shower room, but the bed was very comfortable. For the evening meal, no hot food. but he hotel serve cold platters to order. This was no problem as the centre of St Ives Quay was minutes walk away, along the sea front and it had a wide choice of pubs and restaurants. The full Cornish breakfast was amazing, bacon and sausage being organic and locally sourced. Lovely flavours! Even the brown sauce was organic! In summary, a very well and tastefully appointed hotel with pleasant, friendly and helpful staff

Pocket Guide: Cornwall Lands End Independent Green/Sustainable Hotels

The most westerly tip of the country is also the wildest part of Cornwall, known for its prehistoric sites, cliff scenery (particularly at Land’s End), raging surf, and tin mining relics. Its most popular settlement is St Ives, a beautiful fishing village and arts centre with its very own Tate gallery and superb beaches. Penzance is a characterful Georgian town, while the nearby soaring island abbey of St Michael’s Mount is a regional icon.
