nice hotel if you stay with "Sea Facing Jacuzzi", after I arrived I upgraded to a Sea Facing Jacuzzi.

“Fantastic!”

We booked a sea-facing room with jaccuzi for our honeymoon. The hotel lobby and common areas were great and better than expected. The hotel is set in a natural setting and you have to take a shuttle to your room which might be a good 500m away which all adds to the experience. The room was fantastic! Service great! Beed and duvet were the best I've ever slept in! The only thing is that the hotel is a little far from the hustle and bustle of Langkawi which might be good if you're on a honeymoon but not if you're travelling with friends...

the sheraton was everything that i thought it would be and better,great staff clean,safe and like living in a jungle,although the beach is small and the water on the beach is sometimes a little cloudy,the pool is ample.indeed the rooms do need a nail and some silicone hear and there but they are well clean and comfortable.we chose the taxis ,they have set rates to your destination and most become tour guides as well.breakfast is catering for all nationalities and qauility.(dont miss the cable car its awesome.) pick up the langkawi link vacation guide at airport ,its very honest and helpful.if u want to buy thingsthere is a good store 200metres north of the batic craft centre on the nyior cabang road that supplies all the smaller shops.the pahn thai restaurant at the berjaya has ecxellent thai food and the best sunset spot but book before u go!we done devskayak tour (unforgettable) and worth every ringett we stayed here 4 two weeks mid march and the weather was very good sometimes with heavy showers at night,the resort is very peaceful so if u want more action chenang 15 mins away is where its all happening although we found it needs a clean up of litter!seafood a plenty,the shinn me seafood rest. will pick u up and take u back! we are 47 years young if this helps u decide.the wildlife is fantastic here and free,all the staff seak english but try usung some of thier language they like it.

“Wonderful resort, wonderful Island”

My fiancé and I stayed at the Sheraton for 10 nights from the 19th to 28th September. We arrived before the usual check in time and the staff had no problem with an early check in. There are three restaurants and all are recommended. If like us you are from Europe I recommend Spice trader for some authentic Malay and Thai cuisine. The staff were ever so pleasant despite it being Ramadan. You must check out Chime. During our stay there was a superb live band from Kuala Lumpur called Tropical Storm playing western, Malay, Chinese and Indonesian covers and there was also a DJ every night usually until 2 am. The Staff at Chime like all the resort staff were extremely pleasant and could knock up a wicked Margarita. Thanks Kuljit and the gang! Our room was exceptional. Wood finished and we had a great view of the Adaman Sea from our Balcony. All in all a great resort and wonderful hospitality.

“A divine place to relax, romance and revive!”

Our stay at the Sheraton Hotel was wonderful, from the initial greeting to the farewell at the end of our 6 night stay.The staff are wonderfully friendly and polite, and in the main very helpful. A few of the waiting staff couldn't speak English as well as others, and our questions were met with a blank gaze, but their English was a lot better than our Malaysian!! The complex is secluded in beautiful surroundings of rainforest next to the ocean. While it is getting a little older than some, and done in a traditional style with lots of timber etc as opposed to the contemporary modern look, it was very comfortable, extremely clean and our room boasted a lovely double shower with hot water constant, and a spa/jacuzzi. The weather is hot and muggy but the rooms are well airconditioned and also have fans. The 3 restaurants are great and we particularly enjoyed the Captains Grill, and the breakfast choice was plentiful and tasty. The hotel is not situated in the area of Pantai Cenang and Tengah where most of the big hotels are, and the nicest beaches are supposed to be, but rather further up the coastline in a secluded area-beaches are ok but we used the pool as the better option. There are no shops etc nearby, so go ther e if you want to rest and relax, not for shopping and nightlife. The taxi prices are fixed in Langkawi so it will cost 28 ringitt to visit Kuah town-the main shopping area, and Ferry terminal to other islands, and 25 ringitt to airport. Hotel spa ; excellent also.

Very nice hotel... a bit calm far from city (30 min by car but its the longest distance you can make in Langkawi) the Hotel could be better maintained but nothing to complain about Taxi very cheap (compared with Europe and US) Food very nice (breakfast and dinner buffet), wide variety of cuisine and tastes I would definetly recommend it !!

Top class, Quiet, peaceful Resort, but lots to do on the Island. Large villas with supurb views. Good restaurants also.

“Excellent hote!!”

We had a fabulous time at the Sheraton Langkawi and I would highly recommend it!! It is a great value for the money!! It is clean, beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds, fun activities to do, nice food, easy to get to other parts of the island, nice private beach, and family friendly!! The best part of our stay was the amazing service!! The staff were so nice to us and remembered us at meals!! I was very impressed with the service!!

“excellent for all the family”

very good value and a good balance between the cheaper hotels in Langkawi and the top ones. It really has all that the latter have but it is better for children. The staff were wonderful, the food very good (and restaurant not crwoded despite full occupancy of the hotel), and the beach and pools are fine, especially for the kids. We'll certainly go back.
