“Relaxing resort in a beautiful location”

We had a great time at this resort, excellent location for a relaxing holiday with good restaurants and facilities. Separate adults only pool with food and drink available throughout the day.Staff were very friendly and welcoming.P

“perfect get away”

This resort is situated in a spectacular location, the scenery is amazing. I was there with my boyfriend early September 2011, the start of the rainy season, and the resort was probably less than half full. This meant that at times it felt like we were the only ones there, which I loved. The hotel is situated on a large, wide private beach, there are three pools, one of which is adults only, and three restaurants. Breakfast was included with our room, this was a buffet all-you-can-eat style affair with a range of food types including traditional malaysian curries, english breakfast, waffles, pastries, cold meats, cereal and fruit. We found that we didn't need lunch after filling up at breakfast, which was a bonus as food is expensive here (western prices) and unless you've hired a car you don't really have any other option outside of the hotel. There are a couple of stalls set back in the trees along the beach which we didn't find till our last day, they sell clothes, drinks and maybe food. I think they cater mainly for people operating the mangrove tours. The hotel also provides a range of activities and tours each day, both free and some which cost extra. The service we had from the staff was faultless, they always greeted you with a smile and were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, well maintained. It is not brand new and so there are some signs of wear and tear but the hotel was undergoing some improvements while we were there.

Superb resort located on a beatiful private beach. Extremely friendly staff and management willing to ensure your stay is perfect. All inclusive package recommended as the menu at the five restaurants is very high standard. Every meal was excellent! First class resort that comes highly recommended. We'll be back!

“A little piece of paradise”

Tanjung Rhu is a beautiful resort, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the facilities are first class and the grounds and beachfront location were second to none. Highly recommended.

“Brilliant Langkawi experience”

Tanjung Rhu is an amazing resort. It's a long distance (25minute drive) from the main port town (and also the airport), but it's an amazing place to relax and remove all the stresses that the cities bring. The staff are all very welcoming, and attentive, and the food and drinks are wonderful (however alcohol is quite expensive, so best to get this from duty-free at the airport prior to heading to the resort). I would definitely recommend anyone to visit Tanjung Rhu resort.

“Fantastic Resort Hotel”

If you want night-life and lots of entertainment, this is not the hotel for you. However, this is the hotel resort to choose if you are looking for: Exceptional service provided by genuinely friendly and warm staff Some of the best food you will ever taste (at the Rhu Restaurant) An idyllic and private setting Peace and quiet Large comfortable rooms Other hotel/resorts may have similar settings, rooms or facilities. But what sets this hotel apart from other hotels is the quality and friendliness of the service and the food at the fine dining restaurant (The Rhu). Other resort hotels may train their staff to smile and to appear as if they want to help you, however the staff at Tanjung Rhu the staff genuinely want to make your stay as good as it can be. Their desire to look after you comes from their hearts. As for the chef at The Rhu Restaurant, his food is fantastic. The Malayan Royal Family were due to dine at the restaurant the day after we left - enough said! We stayed for 13 nights and shed a tear when we left. Ask Expedia for a quote for the cost of the all inclusive package. It covers all food and drink (except alcoholic drinks) and room service + non-motorised water sports. Bearing in mind the amount of food and drinks you will consume, it is good value.

A lovely hotel in tranquil and lush setting. Wonderful attentive staff. Perfect for an escape holiday with lots of R and R.

“A TIRED RESORT.”

THE LOCATION IS MAGICAL BUT THE RESORT IS TIRED AND DESPERATELY NEEDS MAINTINANCE AND RENOVATION. THE STAFF WERE WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. IF THERE IS AN UPGRADE WE WILL RETURN.
