Pros: Lovely big hotel, clean, right on beach, good facilities and amazing staff.
Cons: Only downside is that it's a bit remote but that's what we wanted from our break.
Location: As above.
Great hotel, spotlessly clean, great facilities and amazing staff.

A nice trip

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Location: Location is lovely and quiet. Beauitful beaches and rainforest. The forest walks were good.
The staff at the Andaman were very helpful and very pleasant. The room was looking a bit tired and in need of some upgrade. The external door would not open, so no issue with monkeys, but i could not take any photos of the wildlife easily through the smudged windows. The food was generally good, and the people in the restaurants very helpful. I enjoyed the wildlife and the nature walks, which I highly recommend. Did not enjoy being left waiting with others for a shuttle bus that did not arrive and when I phoned, was told that it had already returned to the hotel?

Comfort in Jungle

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Its location midst the jungle and close access to beach.
Cons: Food option. Limited choices were available.
Location: Excellent location. Jungle hiking, Cycling, Swimming, Kayaking, Coral Reef walks. Will keep you busy and involved.
Excellent value for money. Situated in midst of Rain Forest with adequate access to quiet and private beach. Friendly and caring staff. Geared towards family needs. Due to its location, you will need a car to explore Langkawi.

Luxury by the beach

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Staff friendliness, peacefulness and full amenities.
Cons: There was a bit of renovation going on, but it wasn't a problem for me.
Location: Beach and rainforest activities.
It was a pleasant surprise to have dining vouchers during my stay at The Andaman. The management also provided a little surprise for my fiancé's birthday. Will visit again soon!

Beautiful beaches, good food and an old rainforest

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The hotel has 5 brilliant restaurants catering different cuisines. Excellent spa facilities with the treatments huts overlooking the beach and beyond.
Cons: More hotel cars for guests
Location: North side of the island, about a 40 minutes journey from the airport. The cable cars and skybridge are the closest attraction.
This was part of our honeymoon. The hotel is away from all the sights and town in a secluded part of Langkawi. It backs onto a 10 million year old rainforest. The hotel does morning and evening nature walks so you can see some of the animals and insects which lives in the forest. The hotel offers so many restaurants and activities that we didn't leave for 2 days! It offers lots of water sports facilities, coral planting, nature walks through the forest. Our room was a little dated, but the whole wing we stayed is now going through renovation. The location and views of the surrounding water and island are breathtaking. Possibly the most romantic hotel on the island. The staff are excellent and attentive, they go above and beyond to cater for your needs.

Fantastic Beach Front Resort

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: We had the most restful sleep in this hotel... The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel had an outstanding ambience.
Location: The resort is located on the northern coast of Lankawi... The resort has many complimentary activities and there is also a golf course near by...
We enjoyed the most romantic dinner right on the beach front... We ordered the two signature dishes, the rack of lamb and the tiger prawns and they were delicious... The chef even organised a complimentary ice cream for us. Other highlights of the stay were the rainforest walk in and around the grounds of the hotel, we saw various types of monkeys, baby bats and even a flying lima. The aqua yoga which was also fun although it was only for 25 minutes.

Tropical hideaway

We enjoyed the comfort of the room and the view through the trees to the bay. We also enjoyed eating at the casual beach front cafe watching the sun go down across the mountains.
