Nice hotel close to campus

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: The closeness to everything we wanted to do.
Location: Location excellent - campus, restaurants, shopping, natural foods store all nearby
It was a beautiful day, we could walk to campus from the hotel and we could walk to the Fresh Thyme natural food store which was a bonus. Very close to downtown East Lansing.

The hotel was just ok.

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Review policy and procedure for pest control. We know bed bugs are a big issue here in Michigan and this nation.
Location: Shopping was rather close.
4/27-The bath mat was stuck to the bottom of the tub. It appears as if the mat had not been removed for months. I tried to lift the mat and it begin to come apart so I left it and took a shower. In the process of trying to lift the mat there was a brown dirty trim under the mat. I decided I'm at a conference get through it most of the hotels were full anyway. 4/28- I showered got into bed and started to read over some conference material and a bed bug was crawling on my chest. This is approximately 11 pm or later. The young lady when I called the front desk did say it was shift change and she had no idea what to do. I've never had that problem. Call after shift change they might be able to help. I did not leave the hotel although offered by front desk staff. I wanted too but do not know my way around Lansing. The piece my boss was in the room next to mine. She was sleeping and did not answer her phone. So, I tried sleep in a chair. I was not comfortable or trusting going to another room. It is so icky to have anything crawling on you when relaxing for the evening. I took pictures and save the bug and gave it to the desk clerk at check-out. The hotel clerk said I'll my manager know. She wrote down my cell phone number. I have yet to hear from anyone. I don't like speaking negatively about the hotel; this is what happened. I prefer to say nice things.

Visiting daughter at MSU

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Clean and location
Cons: Lower the room prices
Location: Close and convenient to MSU campus
Room was clean, spent no time there other than to sleep. Wall outlet next to bed did not work, bath towels very small and scratchy. Did not go down for the continental breakfast. I would expect to pay 2/3 the price that I paid for this room.

Sleep Deprived

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: polite staff, close to MSU, clean room, reasonable rates Cons: TV didn't work, breakfast food was terrible, heater settings difficult to manage, and TOO CLOSE TO TRAIN TRACKS...late night/early morning trains woke me up several times. I would chose to stay elsewhere next time I travel to EL.

Was not a good experience. The only good thing it was right next to MSU campus. Didn't sleep well at all. Went for a week not a good idea. Won't stay there again not even for a day. Hotel needs a lot of upgrades.
