“Ewww.”

Our room was not cleaned from the previous user! Telltale signs like dirty socks under the bed, an unflushed toilet... really turned me off. I've been itchy for days... won't ever stay there again.

“Will NEVER stay there again!!!”

This hotel was advertised as having a pool - they did not!! Room was not ready when we arrived and the surrounding neighborhood was questionable at best. While using the restroom discovered it was already occupied be black hairy spiders. No basic amenities in the room ie: hair dyer, coffee pot. And the coffee they said they had in the lobby was empty numerous times. After we checked in we received a call from the front desk asking if we had 2 reservations - one of which was not even in our name and they wanted to confirm using our credit card information.

“Decent for price”

If you are traveling to Chicago and do not want pay first night too much, it is decent hotel, close enough to Chicago (approx 45 min to loop). Parking is free, rooms OK, only complain is very cheap looking sheets.

“Do not recommend”

Run down place, mouldy smell. Avoid if possible.

“Clean, comfortable and convenient”

Neighborhood has deteriorated since I lived in the area 20 years ago, but I felt safe enough having my wife and daughter arrive later at night when I wasn't there. I was surprised at how nice the lobby was, and how nice the room was. It was clean and comfortable, and EXTREMELY close to major interstate cloverleaf. I would DEFINITELY stay there again, and I spend probably 10-20 nights a year in hotels.

Very nice room, clean and much better than expected. We would stay there again.

“"It was decent for the money we paid"”

Overall the hotel was decent for the amount we paid. The room did have a funny smell at first and when we run the ac it smelled better. I would definetly used this hotel if I was short on funds and that's not a BAD THANG!

“Slept well!”

I only need a place to sleep. It was quiet and comfortable. I found the front dest staff efficent but not very friendly, all business.

“Red Roof going Green......not!!”

Totally disappointed with my stay at Red Roof. Upon arriving and checking in, one of the rooms still had water floating in the bathtub. Had to wait nearly an hour for someone to come and clean the tub, as all the cleaning staff was gone for the day. No cleaning staff?? That should have been a red flag there. The the next day after being gone all day, we returned to the motel and the room had not been touched except for some new towels thrown on the bed. I called the frt desk and told them my room hadn't been cleaned and I was told that we have to request to have the rooms cleaned as that was their new "green" policy. Now you have to ask to have your roomed cleaned? What next, bring your own sheets, towels and blankets? If I can't at least get the bathroom cleaned what am I paying for? I had only used one of the two beds as well, so it really wasn't much to clean anyway. If this is their "new policy", my new policy will be to never waste my good money at a Red Roof motel chain ever again.
