A lovely, quiet and peaceful breakPosted Nov 28, 2013
This Hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway and it's near the seafront but away from the main hubbub of the restaurant areas etc. Tip to save using a taxi transit - simply get on the L61 bus (every hour) from the airport (bus stop right out the airport exit) for 4 Euros and this takes you to the bus station (40 minute journey and you see the island a bit) in the main centre of Playa Blanca. The hotel then is a short (its all level there - no hills) 12 minute walk or if you cant be bothered a very short 5 minute taxi drive (5 Euros). Check in at Reception was very quick and easy - given a welcoming free cold drink on arrival . The people on reception were great and nothing was too much trouble at any time of day. The room was very nice - always kept clean and tidy and was well laid out with a nice balcony and chairs / table lounger. The Nespresso machine was nice (NB you have to hire a kettle - 3 Euros per day so bring your own if you need a cuppa ). Safe is about 3 Euros per day as well (with a 10 Euros refunded deposit ) . Lovely pool and sun bathing / bar / lounger area - still sad to see people who pop the old towels on the loungers despite not being there for hours on end (and the hotel sating NOT to do sol!) Breakfast was very nice - buffet style - lots of choice for all tastes (healthy and not so healthy). Did not eat in the restaurant in the evening (its a fixed 25 Euros and table needs to be booked at reception / no shorts - long trousers no jeans).
