Excellent family hotel for 4 star.Posted Apr 5, 2013
Pros: Multiple fantastic clean pools
Cons: Weak wifi no Internet in room no tea making in room
Location: Good location close to airport playa blanco marina and local sandy beaches walking distance
Nice location friendly staff good rooms. Sofa bed little uncomfortable. Plenty of activities for children but restricted timings. timetable available. Sandy beach very close by, walking distance. Only few minutes by taxi to playa blanca area and marina rubicon. Lobby looked good. Food good. Lot of options. Need to ensure oriental and Mexican restaurants were booked in advance. At least 4 pools so plenty of afternoon guided children's pools games and activities. Not boring at all. Excursions superb and can plan from hotel lobby from help desks. Not far from airport or local excursions. Drinking water available in multiple places free refills. Good spa and jacuzzi. Supervised little children activities. Multiple poolside and other snack bars, so effectively food 24/7. Suggestions- very poor weak wifi in lobby, no Internet in room, could be better, also no Asian or Indian food options for an "international restaurant" , but these are minor compared to what you get for the money. Overall 4/5 excellent would go again.

Don't bother! No where near a 4 star!Posted Apr 3, 2013
Pros: I have to say the entertainment staff were fantastic.
Cons: The food.
Location: Good location
The food was below standard. No one to help you with your luggage. The staff couldn't assist you at reception as they 'couldn't leave the desk!' , charged to use the safe.

Good hotel however complete nightmare with ExpediaPosted Mar 30, 2013
Location: Great location. Easy and interesting 25 minute walk to the marina.
In general an enjoyable holiday had by us two adults and two children - eight and four. Check in was not a great experience however once we went to our room we could relax. This is a large hotel. It is probably about twenty years old and therefore does not have the little details like the princess yaiza further along the front but as it is big, there is plenty to do. Big pool areas and never an issue with sun beds. Great pool for children which is 0.4 metres deep which means you can relax on the sun beds watching your children if they are not good swimmers yet. Our kids were in the pools everyday. Children's entertainment here is very good and the animation team I would have to say are excellent. We upgraded to a suite which gives a separate room for the kids and we have to say this made the difference completely for us. All in all a good choice for some out of season sun.

Great Holiday for AllPosted Dec 8, 2012
Pros: Eating, drinking, lying in the sun and "the island".
Cons: Few ... maybe the long walk from the central rotunda out to our room.
Location: Fabulous! Sitting on the edge of a cliff looking out over the deep blue sea. Easy walk along the coastal path to the marina, location of a market.
The design of the building was imaginative. It was spacious, giving the feeling that there were no constraints on space. There were three other restaurants, Oriental, Mexican and Italian, as well as the main "European", providing a wide range of buffet style meals. They had to work hard at breakfast time to keep the various options looking fresh and ample. By and large they succeeded. The recreational facilities were excellent, we "oldies" played bridge in the evenings, there were six tables. But for the more physically vigorous there were many other options. We went for a fortnight and enjoyed every minute.. Gordon Stewart

Great all round hotelPosted Sep 8, 2012
Pros: Spacious and lots of different bars/pools. View from the hotel room balcony. Friendliness of the staff.
Cons: crowds at peak time in the restaurant - which did have a feel of a school canteen at times.
Location: It was on the edge of Playa Blanca town - but a manageable walk into the marina (15 mins) and the town itself (30 mins).
Deserves it's positive reviews. We were more than satisfied.

Easter 2012 StayPosted Apr 23, 2012
I would describe the hotel as a solid 4 star family experience - some key observations: * Reception staff rude and unhelpful, not sharing even basic data on the hotel * Our room was a very good size and was kept very clean during the stay * Resented paying 20 Euro for use of the safe * The "Animation Team" were all excellent, ran a really good kids club * 4 pools and plenty of room was great, common areas very clean * Local wine undrinkable, beer good, cocktails in the upstairs bar "ok" * Food "ok", some variety but got boring after a while We hired a car for 3 days and that was 95 Euro, very handy having a car hire outlet in the lobby.
