Elevators were down had to get to the eighth flour by stairs carrying bags, construction was super loud in the morning and people next door had a dog that wouldn’t stop barking.

HORRIBLE Experience! We are an elderly couple 77 years old to be exact and we were unable to stay in our room last night because the hotel is under construction and the elevator was not functioning last night when we arrived. Our room was in the 10th floor and the staff wanted us to walk 10 flights up. We had to look for a different hotel to spend the night, without our luggage and without our medication. We both use insulin and were not able to administer our insulin last night. The staff did not care!

I have stayed here about 10 times in the past 3 years and loved it until this last time. Our room was clean but roach and bed bug infested. Stayed there Sunday night. It is now Thursday, the bug bites all over by body have not ceased being itchy.I did tell the receptionist about the bugs and was told to call the manager after 10 am as that is when he/she shows up. That is the last time I stay there. The low price is not worth risking my health.

No hot water when I stayed. There were roaches in the room while I stayed over. And to top it off I paid the deposit of $25 dollars asked for and haven't gotten it back. Tried contacting the hotel, but to no avail.

Sorry for any inconvenience. Normally all authorizations fall off around 3 to 5 days after check out depending on your bank and depending on if the card used is a debit card or credit card. Debit cards do usually take 5 to 7 business days for the funds to be released. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

All the hotel was infested with coackroaches, when we are received the rooms fond cockroaches in beds , bathroom and sofas , when I irrived to the reception to mentioned about it , it was with insects too..!!! Let me know an email to send the pictures and the evidence

I cancelled because they haven’t had hot water in a week and it still wasn’t fixed but they were willing to let me stay if I wanted to as is and full price. The place is old, dated and smells dirty too.

Hotel Ava is the worse place to stay!!!
This was by far the worse experience I've ever had at a hotel. I also think I should have my money back because not only did this hotel have NO hot water , they also had to open the door for your room every time because the room keys don't work. So I would have to wait each time for about 10mins to get to my room. Then at 7am on my check out day they start doing construction on the room next door and it was extremely loud. No respect for the clients that are staying at the hotel. Then I couldn't complain because the phone wouldn't work to call front desk. Hotel Ava in Laredo Texas is the worse place you could ever stay at

Hotel is old and needs a lot work. Some floors are being remodeled. Key system was broken when I was there. So, no keys. You have to have the staff let you into your room everytime you want to leave.

Worse place ever as soon as we walked in you saw cockroaches, when we told the employees they wanted to give us cockroache spray, water pressure was bad, customer service was bad rude and had no idea what he was doing leaving everyone in front for a while. Elevator problems also doors on 6 and 7 kept opening you could see just dark and furniture. Never again will I book this nasty place again.

My husband and I stay there everytime we're in Laredo. We actually love the hotel, but it definitely needs some work. The past few months they didn't have keys that worked and only one elevator worked. And it's not entirely dirty, it just seems that way because there's so many things broken. The staff does a great job cleaning.

Not what it was made out to be.
As soon as we walked off the elevator, it smelled like smoke, on a smokeless floor. As aoon as we opened the room door, there was roaches. Very small ones and about 1/2 inch size too. The roaches were in the bathroom, on the table in the room and even got one on our bed. The shower had grooves to hold shampoo and soap but they had accumulated dirt on the top inside corners. The first 2 floors were under construction so not available for use. Was not informed of this even tho I asked for a ground floor. The carpet at the room entrance was very dirty. I do not intend to stay here ever again. Not a good experience overall.

Es un edificio con varios años de servicio y eso se nota en sus instalaciones ya que algunas se ven descuidadas en cuanto a limpieza y a estética. Aún así es un lugar bueno si solo quieres llegar a descansar y continuar con tu estadía en Laredo o continuar tu viaje. Cosas positivas, está muy bien ubicado sobre la I-35. Muchas opciones de restaurantes y plazas para compras en general así como supermercados. En general y a mi percepción ees un lugar de 3.5 estrellas.
