Nice hotel...great location to Stadium..

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: location...friendly staff...shuttle
Cons: repair the pool...
Location: football stadium....ghost tours...Washington DC approx. 30 minutes away....close to dining and shopping malls
Great location...Booked online for closeness to Stadium...great service at hotel people friendly...shuttle back and forth to the stadium saved money for parking at the event...rooms nice and clean...comfortable safe feeling...was a little disappointed with the pool....pictures looked beautiful looked forward to relaxing swim...at time of our visit heater was broken water extremely cold:( Morning breakfast always a plus and was enjoyed...just make sure to ask for extra towels....would definitely recommend this hotel overall experience would give a 4 out of 5....thank you for a pleasurable weekend...

Pros: Convenient to Metro and dining. Shuttle service available to these areas.
Cons: The key to a good hotel is accommodations. This hotel seems to be lacking in that concept to some degree.
Location: A 30 minute metro train ride to the approximate center of Washington DC. Very convenient location. Close to shopping, dining, movies, etc.
I would probably try a different hotel next time I visit the DC area. The shuttle service was nice but it was often difficult to reach the hotel when calling for a pickup offsite. The pool was already on "winter" hours (in October) and was only open from 5-9 PM. When we did go to use the pool the heater was out and the water was freezing! They seemed to be a little over zealous about the continental breakfast rules. They posted a sign one day that said you couldn't take food back to the room. Seemed a little ridiculous. The first room we were in would not cool below 77 degrees. After 1.5 days they moved us to another room that finally cooled to 72 degrees after three more days. This wasn't the worst hotel I have stayed in but certainly not the best either.

Convenient location...

Hotel is in a great location to highways shopping and dining. My tv did not work for the 1st night...when the problem could not be resolved I was offered another room of the same size. Overall the visit wasn't terrible for the price but I would not recommend nor stay again. There was only one washcloth in each room I was given and even though the hotel is going under renovations it still looks quite dated.

Wrong room

Posted Oct 13, 2014
When we got to the door of the room we were assigned, there was a "Do not disturb" tag on the doorknob. Upon opening the door, we found the room occupied. Not a good start. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Departing the hotel at 620am, we were too early for breakfast that starts at 630, and the coffee pots in the lobby were empty.

The hotel is old but has some updates. Service was great. The problem was the loud heater in the room.

Great place to stay in the DC area

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and size of the room. Very comfortable!
Location: The hotel shuttle took us to and from the Metro station, though it is actually a short walk. Much appreciated after walking alll day!
We wanted to stay in a hotel close to the Metro station for convenience without spending a lot of money. I found the Avi hotel on the Expedia website and the booking and check-in went very smoothly. The room was very nice, clean and roomy. Staff was always helpful and very friendly all 4 nights of the visit. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the DC area.

Nice hotel on the DC beltway away from cities

Posted Oct 2, 2014
We were driving south from BWI on 95 and decided it was time to find a room (south of expensive cities but still an easy drive into DC). The expedia app offered a great rate for the hotel, so we booked it It took a few minutes for the reservation to come thru, but when it did, all was good. The room was perfectly clean and big. The walls were thick enough to muffle the loud next-door occupants. The breakfast was above average (eggs, sausage, waffle maker, plus the usual fare). All in all, pretty happy with this stay.
