The hotel is one step up from a hostel.

Not a good spot in LarnacaPosted Jan 1, 2013
This hotel is south of the city, in what feels like a run-down residential area, but fairly close to the airport. Not much nearby except for a few disappointing fish taverns. The place feels old and dirty--plenty of mold. Not a very friendly welcome by staff either.

Gave me the creepy-crawliesPosted Oct 31, 2012
The rooms in the hotel are in serious need of a makeover. The shower looks like it had tiles chipped away and a poor fix-up job was done, and now there is mold everywhere around that section. There are stains on the walls and the shower curtain should have been replaced three years ago. I would recommend not looking at the mattress--ignorance is bliss in this case. I saw some spots through the sheet (they don't use mattress covers), and realized there were blood stains and other stains I don't want to know about on the mattress. You can also hear just about everything going on next door. Parking means you park on the street. Positives? The A/C works. The front desk staff were nice enough.

Back packers accommodationPosted Oct 23, 2012
The staff was friendly and helpful and that's the only thing good about the hotel ... We request a doble bed but instead we got two single beds , the bathroom was unacceptable dirty and there was even fungus on the shower curtain and corners .... So please put more attention on this cause is very important to have a comfortable holydays.

Ok for a few hours before a late flight homePosted Sep 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
Not great, didn't get rooms we had booked as described when I booked them. Pleased only there for a few hours before flying home as wouldn't want to stay there..

Value for moneyPosted May 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
For the money its a excellent hotel, good location no frills.room servicing is poor 5 minutes tops to clean and make beds, and poolside is a bit grubby dirty sun beds and the tiled patio could do with hosing down every morning especially has stray cats roam around during the night, but that aside ok.

Larco Hotel in AprilPosted Apr 10, 2012
Pros: Its location close to the sea and restaurants used by locals rather than tourists
Cons: only one small square of soap provided in bathroom and no kettle, only pans, in the kitchen
Location: convienient for sea, Salt Lake, airport, and town centre and both local and inter-city buses
The hotel is close to the sea and local small shops and car rentals, quiet and convienient for the airport and the town and its beaches. The kitchen was OK but supply your own washing up liquid and pan scrub. The swimming pool and games rooms were OK

Needs ImprovementPosted Mar 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
From other reviews and the relatively low rates my expectations were low. I opted for the hotel to be an easy drive from the airport late at night and be walking distance to the old town (rather than being in the tourist ghetto many miles along the coast) so on those counts things were good. Things that weren't included broken TV, dangerous looking electric socket and only one thin pillow. There was poor lighting (missing bulbs/switches) throughout the hotel and our toilet broke, although this was promptly repaired.
