“Still a good value.”

Room was clean, the bed comfortable, a good hot breakfast buffet, and the staff excellent in all regards. A good value and a perfect location for our needs. Have stayed here many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Area recommendations

Las Cruces is a good town overall, and I know of no areas that I would be reluctant to frequent.

“Comfort and service over frills”

I was very happy with the Mission Inn. The room was incredibly comfortable with several conveniences (refrigerator, microwave) not typical in most hotels. It had a fantastic view of the mountains (although many of the rooms would not) and it was very close to many of the places I wanted to go. The free breakfasts were good, with a choice of healthy or hearty. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I actually picked this hotel for nostalgic reasons (my family stayed there 50 years ago when I was a little girl) but I would go back again because I was so comfortable there this trip.

Area recommendations

Mesilla is charming and full of history and worth a day spent wandering. The downtown area is fun. Also, a trip to White Sands National Monument is like going to a beach, except for the lack of water.

“This will be our place!”

The room was so nice and clean and LARGE!! We loved the all the tiles and the beautiful handpainted flowers on the wall! It was so nice to have a outdoor area with tables , we enjoyed our morning coffee and tea outside! The girl at the front desk suggested an "outstanding" place for dinner! We really enjoyed our stay!

“Creepy Place”

This place made my skin crawl. It smelled awful and the bathroom had a window which did not lock very well. I was there for less than 24 hours and would seriously stay in El Paso and drive 1 1/2+ hours to my meeting location than stay in this hotel again. Still feel like I was lucky to make it through the night.

Area recommendations

El Paso or any other hotel in Las Cruces.

“this was the best i could find?”

had i stumbled upon this place by chance form the interstate i would have been stoked! given that i actually did online research beforehand, i am a little disappointed in my choice. the place is perfectly fine and totally serviceable. however, it is also RIGHT next to the train tracks. i am a sound sleeper and was not disturbed by the freight trains. yet when i was awake there was no mistaking them for stealth trains! i also had VERY poor luck with the wireless internet, which is fairly important to me. the fridge in the room was so incredibly loud that i immediately unplugged it (and left it off for duration of my stay). on the upside, the AC was WICKED cold.

high times brewery was just under a 2 mile walk away.

“Disappointing”

It wasn't terrible but it was very disappointing. The hotel was convenient to the places we wanted to go and it did appear clean. However, the air conditioner smelled very bad, the toilet broke and we got bite by something in the bed during the night. The toilet flusher chain broke so we had to reach in and manually pull the chain to flush the toilet. It broke on the afternoon of our last night and didn't get fixed while we were there...my wife got bite once on the first night so we didn't think too much about it but we both got bit multiple times on the second night and when we told them upon checkout the just said "sorry".....probably wouldn't stay there again.

Area recommendations

De Mesilla area - very cool and try La Posta for mexican food and Lorenzo's (the Original Lorenzo's in Mesilla) for Italian - both are excellent for good food and good service.

“Las Cruces 8.15”

I would no recommend this hotel to anyone. We moved to another room because the air wasn't working properly in our room, the shower had a trickle of shower pressure, and overall it was not very clean. The door had a 1 inch gap in it and a chain to lock it. Had I been traveling alone I would not have stayed here - I did not feel safe! Sorry Best Western but you need to have this hotel updated!

Area recommendations

Stay near Valley rather than going so far off the main drag of this town. Visit Old Mesilla if you have opportunity and visit LaPosta - lots of history there!

“Very good hotel, great price”

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at this hotel. Best Western's aren't always the best kept hotels, but this one was very nice. The room was nicely decorated and the room was larger than the average hotel room. When we arrived we went to make coffee and the coffee maker wasn't working. I called the front desk, and the manager was at my room in 5 minutes with a replacement and stayed until he was sure it was working. They also had a very nice outside pool. The location is a couple miles off the freeway, but it was well worth the great rate I got on my stay.
