Aging but comfortable

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The staff was very accommodating. I enjoyed the pool. The breakfast and dining room was one of the highlights!
Cons: For starters, the room needs a serious updating, including the furniture, the bathroom and tile. Additionally, the bathroom window was awful.
Location: Old historic Mesilla was beautiful with lots of shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the farmer's market also.White Sands national monument is a MUST SEE
Overall, my experience was pleasant. My room was comfortable and clean, just really showing its age. It is in desperate need of a makeover. I was fine for just me, but my wife would never have consented to staying there.

The BEST Western Inn

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: We especially liked how your bathroom was more roomy than other hotels/inns. The TV was also in the perfect spot.
Cons: The soft skin quilt was a bit scratchy.
Location: The inn was in New Mexico. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby.- *9
Our family was surprised at how enjoyable our room was. We were very pleased.

AC so loud

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: breakfastD
Cons: Definitely needs a quieter AC unit. A couple of cans of bug spray wouldn't hurt.
Location: Just passing through to Tucson
AC unit seemed undersized and constantly ran and shifted all night. Similar to the noise level of an 18 wheeler at idle. I had a sink full of ants so I asked the front desk for a bug spray. He brought me a very used looking aerosol can with a toothful of liquid left in it but no aerosol pressure to spray it. I asked for a replacement and he said that was it. If I went to another room it had to be on the opposite end of the motel so I stayed put, drowned the ants and moved all the coffee maker equipment and that solved the problem. The only thing that was acceptable was the breakfast.

Touch of the old Las Cruces

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Spacious, southwestern-accented rooms, outstanding breakfast offerings, great value for the room rate.
Mission Inn has been a touchstone in LC for the more than 40 years I've been coming & going in that city, & it remains a clean, charming place to overnight. It is a little closer to the railroad tracks than some might like, but I personally think it is pretty much the best value in the price range.

Will Stay Again

This is an older, remodeled motel. However, it is quite cozy, the breakfast is good and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Seriously outdated...

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Leaving it...
Cons: Too much to mention...
Location: No idea... Was simply passing through to Phoenix...
I don't think they've made any real improvements to that hotel since the 80's... The shower was awful, with an annoying shower had and a curtain too short for the shower... Needless to say, they must assume all of their bathrooms get flooded with each shower... Outlets were so old that plugs simply fell out of them... The dining facility that serves the free breakfast had no A/C, but simply a ton of oscillating fans blowing hot air around... I couldn't even drink my coffee...

Pros: bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellant
Cons: the air conditioning was rather loud and the train was a wake up call when it went by
Location: shopping the nearby stores and enjoy the local mexican restuarants which was very good along with the beautiful scenery of the organ mountains.
enjoyed my stay which was pleasant and rewarding after a long day in training and would recommend to business travelers
