Central location, great views of city

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: location, breakfast, pool
Location: not far from the university, opposite a shopping mall.
If you get up early enough, the view of the sunrise is spectacular. The pool is very nice and breakfast is reasonable and good.

Classy place

Seems upscale, priced reasonably. Comfortable room but coffee service was missing most items, and no refrigerator in room unless you pay more for it. That's a first for us.

Poor Electronics

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice and always tried to be helpful.
Cons: Electronics
Location: My cousin picked me up and took me to the wedding and reception, and I spent the remainder of the time in bed, so I did not spend time looking around.
When I first arrived on Friday, March 21, I could not use the remote control to change channels on the TV, so I called the front desk, and they sent maintenance. He changed out my remote; still did not work; changed batteries; still did not work. I was able to change channels manually on the set itself. By Sunday morning I was not able to access TV at all. I thought, "Oh, well, no problem; I'll just use my computer and get the latest news via internet." The internet was down--for three hours. Finally a maintenance man came and changed out TV's. I recognized it as a TV I had owned in the late 80s. Maintenance said they were in the process of changing to all new ones; however, if he had done that for me he would have had to drill holes, etc. When I checked out I expected to be compensated for this unfortunate experience; however, they said that since I had booked through Expedia they could do nothing. So, now, Expedia, can you give me some credit for my now having use of electronics in my room. They did say that I could change rooms; however, I had a temperature of 104, and I went to the medi-clinic, and it turns out I had pneumonia. I would appreciate some credit on this bill. Thank you.

Great fund

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Upon arrival we were given an early check in. We dropped our bags and headed in the restaurant(;Gardunos) to watch the Denver vs New England game. Great restaurant. Great food. However we didn't notice there in our room not working until we went back to the room much later. I called the front desk and the manager met us in the hall with keys to a new room. Room service breakfast came an hour early. But everything was very nice. Pool area is beautiful. Will stay again!!!

Getting Married

Posted Jan 22, 2014
Pros: The decor and style of the hotel. It is by for one of the nices ones in La Cruces.
Cons: Upgrade on your appliances in the room, such as the tv. Also the fridge that we decided not to go with had dents on the top of the fridge.
Location: We had fun at Farleys and Starbucks was close.
The staff was friendly and the style of the hotel was great! A couple of problems that I did have was the fact that upon arrival our fridge was placed in our room a day early when we had a do not disturb sign posted and we were out of the room. Then we we requested it removed it took a whole other day for someone to come remove it as well. The room needed some maintenance work on it such as one wall had a huge scratch in it. The back of the bathroom door had pieces of wood missing and the tv needs to be upgraded. Upon checking out I needed a bell hop at 630am and I waited for one to arrive, but it was taking too long. My wife and I ended taking all of our stuff down ourselves. The gentleman at the front desk also did not have a name tag on and if that is part of the dress code then he was out of compliance.

Great lounge. Love the lobby decor. Parking configuration was odd. Room could use an update. No bed side outlets

There was no help on arrival, desk was not all that concerned about guests. This old gal has passed her prime. For the money would take a look around she is tired and service is about on the same level
