“Anywhere but here”

There was a time when I gave this motel a high review, those days are long gone. Since I last stayed the Super 8 has become "pet friendly" and upon entering my room I was greeted with the overpowering scent of industrial cleaner, more at home at a vets office or a kennel, designed to get little Bootsy's accident out of the carpet. Even with the window open it was impossible to get rid of the stench. I worried about what I might be walking on and hoped nobody's pet also went on the bed. Then there was the "free breakfast". A few defrosted muffins, some bread and generic cereal (no bowls) and 2% milk was on the offering. Finally there were the towels, low grade sand paper would have worked better. I finally used a couple of hand towels to dry off since the bath size were taking off more skin than water. It's a shame this hotel has gone from a hidden value gem to a dump well worth passing. Look elsewhere, I will.

“Clean and New”

This place must have been renovated recently, it all looks pretty new to me. If you just need a place to stay for the night it's a good place. If you need a beautiful view from your window, it's not. The place looks new and the room was nice, everything was good.

“It is what it is...”

It is a run down, cheap hotel in a relatively low price range. The desk staff were very nice...I do need to say that. But you get what you pay for and I just wanted a place to sleep that accepted pets. There is absolutely nothing special about this place, in fact is pretty run down. The area would almost qualify as 'desolate' and there is no place decent to eat around there except a pricey steakhouse next door. I had pizza delivered so I wouldn't have to go out in that area. The 'continental' breakfast was HORRID...OJ was sour tasting, water for oatmeal was lukewarm at best. At least they didn't put out bruised bananas. But again...I knew I was getting for the price I chose to pay. Don't think you are getting a "good deal".

“Adequate for the price”

Nothing spectacular about this hotel. Took some time to recall the stay, a little out of town, but suited for a trip to the White Sands NP in the morning. Rooms clean and staff were accommodating.

“Nice for the first motel expercence”

We went t to check in to White Sands NM then went Las Cruces NM to check in so we can enjoy the pool it was not what we expected. We found a dead lizard and there was trash in the pool and pool area. In morning we enjoyed breakfast early got ready to check out then when finished our adventure at the Chile festival in Hatch NM.

“Would visit again”

The motel has seen better days, but it was clean. It was quiet. The water was hot. Probably the only two draw backs were we were on the second floor (stairs are hard for me) and the sheet on the mattress wasn't fitted and really two short to be tucked properly. The steakhouse next door was shabby, but the food was very good. Location right off US 70 took us everywhere we wanted to go. If you just want a place to lay your head, this is as good as any for the price.

“Perfectly Acceptable”

We chose this hotel for location and economy. We can't be happier. This is not a luxury resort; however, they offer top notch econo lodging. We were quickly checked in, and were accommodated our request to bring two labs we had been fostering to accompany us upstairs while we unloaded our vehicle and freshened up. The room was clean and comfortable. YES the room had a slight musty odor. It originates from the wall air conditioning unit. That is to be expected. YES the carpet is not new, it is well-used. That is not a deal breaker for me. What we were pleased as can be about was a tub I could soak in after a long drive, a HUGE recliner chair that is amazingly comfortable, a supportive bed, and a soft velour blanket with the bedding. It helped me go right to sleep. Guests were very respectful and I got a very restful sleep.

“Clean, comfortable, convenient”

I'd stay here again. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Location was convenient (right off interstate). It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room. Did not use the pool so don't know about that.

“Good place to lay your head”

Room was comfortable and clean, checkin was a breeze, but it was a tad confusing trying to actually get to the hotel per the one way steets on each side of a major highway. Once I went around the one way streets and missed it a couple times I got the hang of it and was able to get there, but it was really annoying considering I had to go to the restroom really bad and the extra two minutes were not pleasurable. Other than that everything was great. Just look at a map before you actually get there.
