“Aruba”

The Aruba Hotel & Spa wasn't the best hotel I've stayed at in my life, but it was very reasonably priced and the service was good. Cleanliness wasn't bad by any means, however, you can tell this hotel has been around a while. No complaints about the location, close the the strip and downtown. The bus stop right outside was very convenient. Overall, you get what you pay for.

“What do you want for cheap?”

Its sort a low end hotel as far as upkeep and amenities, but if all you want is a bed and shower you can't beat the price. Sure the toilet wobbles, they forget to give you towels, the advertised free internet access isn't free, but hey, what do want for a cheap night in Vegas?

“Is this a transient hotel?”

I honestly thought that the reviews this location has gotten before were stretching it. I can see that the management is really trying to do what face lifts they can, but the property is so run down that it's not really working. The rooms are very clean, but everything is really shabby and substandard. An example is the fact that there is paint over the tiles in the bathroom. They are using extreme shortcuts, but even the extreme budget chain motels are better than this. I even had to sleep on a mattress that was literally sloping, as if a slat had broken or come loose. I asked them to fix it, but they said they probably couldn't do anything about it. Imagine! If you really are not worried about the state of the room you stay in and just need a clean place, this would be it. It's just too shabby for me! The problem is that this property is par for the course for lodging off the strip. If you can't afford to stay in a major hotel, it's not worth it. Las Vegas as a whole seems to be shabby like this!

“Not impressed”

Location was good. Room wasn't very clean when I checked in. The A/C unit rattled when it was on, unplugged it when I went to sleep. Parking was a bit limited near your room. Person next to me was up all night with loud TV. Forgot my earplugs, should of brought them.

“Not Impressed”

The hotel needed to be better maintained and the rooms could have used some lighter color paint. Also, the pool was not working in the middle of May.

“Kind of Scary”

This hotel did not look like the picture. It may have been a fine hotel in its day, but it is really the worst hotel we have ever been in. The service was very good and the room service food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The physical plant is another story. There is paint peeling off the shower floor. The TP spool falls out. The air vent is covered in greasy hair. There was no safety chain on the door. Lights turned on by themselves, and the AC fan would not stay on at all at first. The ironing board was full of holes and the iron leaked. The bar was a pit. The hallway outside our room had garbage and empty bottles. It was noisey. The elevator did not work from the second floor. There is an adult bookstore across the street. It was a cheap package, now we know why!

“Hotel Problems”

The bed was uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin and even the lowest amount of talking sounded like screaming. TV reception was poor and there was a hole in the bathroom door.
