The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (surcharge) exhibits works by renowned artists on loan from museums around the world. Opening on February 14, 2014, and organized in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), the Painting Women collection will showcase 34 paintings spanning 90 years (1860 – 1950), revealing the story of women artists, their activism, and artistic achievements. The works represent the increased opportunities for education, domestic independence and artistic training that allowed many women to pursue their dreams of becoming professional painters, dating back to the 19th century.
