Pros: Quality
Location: perfect, central location on the strip
Received a nice upgrade, friendly staff! Prices for restaurants and pool area too high (drinks and food).

Hotel falling apart

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Air conditioning worked well in room
Cons: Rooms, hallways, and elevator need repair, updating. Wasn't told by Expedia that there was alot of construction was going on at hotel
Location: location of hotel is on strip. but you have to walk a long way to get out of hotel to street
We purchased from Expedia a two night stay at Caesar's in 'the forum tower' description of hotel room sounded a lot better than actual room. Suppose to be an upgraded room. It was about 7-8 years ago. The TV needed replacement (squiggly lines across screen) motorized buttons to open sheers and drapes didn't work. Hallway's wall paper and elevator peeling off. Room had only three towels for two people. In room safe was so narrow, couldn't fit anything in it without it breaking. Couldn't open safe after putting items in it and doing code, kept getting 'error' had to call for service. Checking into hotel was a nightmare. Very long lines, waited over hour to check in. Hotel's pools are famous. But water in pools was murcky, side walls inside pool, very old and falling apart. Looked like black mold..very gross. So many people in pool, couldn't swim. Very thing is so spread out, have to walk a lot to get to anything. Signage at hotel was hard to find, couldn't figure out how to find places inside hotel.

Iconic themed hotel is a great place to stay.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The whole place is very nice
Cons: Remove 'property' charge, add it to room cost or just be more upfront
Pool area is amazing. Only down side is the $25 / day property charge in the small print chargeable on check out listed as costs for Gym and Wi-Fi even if not used? but Wi-Fi is also subject to another charge if you require it of $14.99 / day!! basically a stealth charge to add on when you leave :-/

A hotel somewhat living on its name

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: iconic name & swimming pool
Cons: size and layout
As you would expect a huge hotel, however the size seems to have overtaken the capacity of the staff to manage it - our room was not ready when we arrived (somewhat early admittedly) and were told to return in an hour (4), when we did we had to queue (again) to check in only to find the room was still not ready, this then happened twice more till eventually after much argument we finally got a room at about 6pm.

Everything available

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Everything was available including a convenience store. Just about every type of cuisine located right on the grounds. No reason to leave the resort.
Cons: To provide shade, awning or misters across the water fall where travelers are awaiting the shuttle transport buses.
Location: So much to do right on the resort. No need to walk out in heat of day. But at night so much to do in and out in local areas. So much to be desired.
All went well. Friendly and sincere staff, ready to help in any way. The only problem I encountered was the waiting area for shuttle buses. Myself and another couple had to stand in the scorching heat, with no shade or cover over the benches. Even an inexpensive mister would have helped to keep us comfortable while waiting for the shuttle transport bus.

You pay a lot more...

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The place is still pretty awesome!
Cons: Ummm ... I'd like to come out a couple times a year but see my above comments -- once is plenty
The $28 a day resort fee is just another way of saying 'room rate' ... so add $28 to whatever you think you'll be paying. Also, be aware that a drink by the pool is $16 to $18 so that room credit (mine was $32 a day) is about 2 drinks without tip. Bottle of water in the room ... $6; Internet for a second device (this just in: we each have a cell and laptops) ... $15 per day per device. Bottom line: This was once a great property where the gambling kept the non-gambling costs in check. Not so much anymore.
