Good service, very bad roomsPosted Mar 8, 2014
The restaurants were top quality and service was excellent. I understood prior to booking that this is an aging hotel, however, I would have appreciated a clean room. We stayed in a basic room in the roman tower and it was just gross. Dried snot on the walls, the drain in the tub was clogged somewhere down the line and wouldn't allow water to drain while you showered (took an hour to drain the water from a 5 minute shower), the wall paper was falling off the walls, the piping around the bathroom sink was black with mold, carpets and couch extremely dirty/stained, etc... I enjoyed the atmosphere in the hotel but may cancel the trip I was planning for may. I spent 3 nights here followed by 3 much nicer nights in the aria (payed roughly the same amount for both) and in my mind there was no comparison. Advice is to spend even more and upgrade your room or go elsewhere. If you are wondering I never went back to the front desk to complain, I just don't like having to do that.

Close to all the action of the stripPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: central location, close to the Forum Shops, room was really nice
Cons: ALL the hotels on the strip could do away with the "resort fee" which is just a money grab, there is no value to this fee
Location: Great location to everything! The new High Roller Ferris Wheel is right across the street and looks like it will be amazing when it opens.
We stayed in the Forum tower which has been updated and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. Nice big bathroom too. Only negative was the view - had a perfect view of the roof and airconditioning systems - no view of anything at all :-( When we called down to reception to ask to be moved apparently there were "no other rooms available in our price range" that had any kind of a view. This was Sunday at 5:00 pm. No more rooms in a hotel with more than 4,000 rooms available?? OK sure. Rather than go through the hassle of being moved the next day (assuming there would be a better room available?? no guarantees?!?!) we just kept the room we had and kept the curtains shut. If a room with a view is important, stay away from the 51st floor in the Forum Tower!!! We had room number 5106. Any even-numbered rooms on this floor would have enjoyed the same view as we did.

Nice hotel hidden charges.Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Beds, facilities, staff, resturants, shops.
Cons: No resort fee, or at least discounted meal or continental breakfast etc something more for the amount that's is paid daily (resort fee).
Location: Good location, bus close, near center of strip. Links nicely to other casinos.
$28 per day resort fee + $14.95 per day (something like that) for Internet. When staying there 7days adds up too a lot. Wasn't the best strip view, nice rooms, good beds, friendly staff. If your willing to pay heaps good stay.

Do not book standard room, for 5 star pricePosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Rooms in Forum tower are great, location and restaurants in casino good too.
Cons: Customer service, better photos of rooms, better rating of rooms. Expedia should look into quality of hotels and rate room style not on hotel on a who
Location: Location fantastic. Shops, main part of strip. Vegas hotels are huge so plenty of walking to get places, but same when staying in any hotel there.
Booked room, paying 5 star price and was placed in below average room, 3 star for 5 star prices. Roman Tower is not worthy of rating. Was staying here with 2 other couples, who booked through separate company and when seeing our rooms, found they were not of a standard for dollars we paid. Took 3 hours but they did upgrade all 3 rooms, but should never happened in first place. If you want 3 star then the rooms should be cheaper. New rooms in Forum tower were great. Also they charge $28.00 per day (tax added after) to use Internet and gym. No choice to pay. Location is great and restaurants good, but would not stay here again after such drama.

Nobu Hotel is NOT Caesar's Palace - it is betterPosted Mar 6, 2014
Cons: Labeling and explanation that Nobu is a separate hotel inside Caesar's Palace should be clear at time of booking.
Location: Very crowded; lots going on. Middle of strip; good if that is your interest. Crowded at night weekends and weekdays.
Nobu Hotel has an identity problem. It is located inside and booked online as part of Caesar's Palace. It is a separate hotel! Registration was a bit hard to find; two computer terminals inside the elevator corridor. Other than that, the stay was excellent! Room was new and furnished with just about every bonus one could imagine. The only thing we did not like was that the refrigerator was packed full of items for purchase. When we removed the soda cans to place some of our own food in the fridge, we were charged. Sensors pick up the removal of each item from the fridge and generate a charge on the room tab. At check-out, the staff was very willing to cancel those erroneous charges, however. Staff were great; check-in and bell service were outstanding. Neat new elevators take you only to your assigned floor. Bed was great; shower was best in Vegas (check the ratings, it is rated best in Vegas!).

Superb hotel in the center of the strip.Posted Mar 5, 2014
The Augustus tower in Caesars Palace was a newer building, big size rooms that are not over the casino. Clean and luxurious with a good view of the strip. It is in the center of the strip so it was easy to walk on either side and all attractions were within reach. Highly recommend it.

Non accomodating staffPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: proximity to strip
Cons: Front desk customer service
I arrived an hour early and was told if I wanted the room it was an extra $20 or go stand in line for half an hour at bellcheck. The room was ready so I paid the $20 only to find out on check out I was charged an extra resort fee of $28. In addition I was told for an extra $100 a night I could be upgraded because booking through expedia gives you the lowest category and no view! The person was rude and non accommodating. Also note that while I was checking in a man at the next check in was given his key without having to pay and I enquired and this man had no special prividleges at this hotel!!!!!

Caesars never disappointsPosted Mar 5, 2014
We had been on a week long road trip and wanted to finish our trip off with a couple of nights at Caesars. As usual, they were very accommodating with anything we asked for. This time we especially enjoyed the service at the Concierge of obtaining boarding passes for our flight home. This certainly saved us time at the airport. This was our 3rd time at Caesars and it definitely has always been our first choice. The other draw for us besides overall excellent service is the location....centre strip.
