Good venue close to the strip.

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Self catering, with a good set up in the kitchen. Everything that a family or budget traveller might need
Cons: Reminders to guests that not all people party went the sun goes down, some people actually like to sleep.
This is the third time we have stayed at the Desert Rose Resort. Even though they no longer have breakfast it still was an excellent stay. The rooms are good sizes, every appliance that you might need, beds good, showers hot. Very close to the strip that you can walk easily through MGM. The only down side is if you get noisy inconsiderate people in the complex. We stayed three nights and the Thursday night there were kids running in the hallways at 11.00pm, but for the other nights it was good. Cannot blame the complex for bad parenting.

Desert Rose room 2224

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Location and pool
Cons: Attitude of staff and a thorough renovation, long overdue.
Location: It was convenient for the strip.
We have stayed at the Desert rose thee times in the past 5 years and it has gotten progressively worse. Each time there has been a room problem requiring us to move. This time it was a drain problem and there was a continuos sulphurous smell emanating from the ensuite washroom that stank out the whole apartment. We paid extra for early registration and were assured that we were getting the best room available. The front desk staff were both mendacious and apathetic. There was also an unacceptable level of noise at night throughout our entire five night stay.Very disappointed this time!

Nice hotel walking distance to the strip.

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Work out room, pool and hot-tub, gated.
Cons: Thinner pillows and breakfast.
Location: Close to the Las Vegas Strip where there is plenty to do.
Rooms have a kitchen, living-room, private bed and bathroom. Large living room couch could sleep others. This hotel has a pool, hot-tub and very adequate work out room. Walls are a bit thin so we had outside noise.

Great and comfortable place to stay-pullout couch mattress could have been better and more bedding for it would have been nice. Wish there was a more convenient place to eat or have hotel offer breakfast in lobby.

Cons: Gym...it would be nice to have sanitizing wipes to wipe down the equipment
comfortable & convenient to strip w/o the cigarette smoke. Also Catholic church walking distance.

close to strip

Posted May 18, 2015
I have always stayed at a Hotel in the strip but wanted a quiter place, less congestion after I leave the bustle of the strip. The Desert Rose was perfect! Within walking distance to Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM, but seclusion when you return, quiet pool and facility clean and accommodating. Staff awesome. Would stay here again next visit.

Close to the Tropicana end of strip..

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: For us it provided just what we needed.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: We stayed four nights, in this time we went to the Cowabungaa Water Park in Henderson, the Titanic exibit at the Luxor, a Vegas show, ziplining etc!
Took our two granddaughters ages 12 & 17. Chose this Hotel as it was close to the strip and we could have walked. We rented a car instead because we wanted to see other parts of Las Vegas and it made it more convenient to get around. Also, the main reason for staying here was the full kitchen and private bedroom, none of the other hotels that I checked- out provided this. Also not a large multi story casino, the pool was great and we had a room right next to the pool. Also very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Appartement net achter de Strip

Posted May 14, 2015
Aanrader LOVE!

Hidden Gem

Posted May 14, 2015
The desert rose is an absolute gem tucked away within the bustling sights and sounds of Las Vegas. I was there on a business trip, and we were able to have out own space during our stay. The room had two separate bedrooms, along with two separate bathrooms. In addition, there was a full size kitchen, dining room and living room. One night we wanted steak, and Vegas can get pretty expensive for a nice steak meal, so we utilized one of the two gas grills they had on site and made our own dinner right next to the pool. They only clean the rooms once a week, which was fine, but the only disappointment about the stay was the thoroughness of the cleaning. If you're used to hotel cleanings everyday, this wasn't anywhere near that. They did take out the trash and brought new towels, but not much beyond that. Overall I would absolutely recommend Desert Rose to anyone looking to stay in Vegas, but not at one of the high priced casinos

hotel stay

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: staff was kind, but would appeal to customers better if appearance was better, etc
Cons: carpets are very old, place looks outdated especially for vegas
Location: location was great, really close to strip
the spot was good, staff was kind and helpful, but when walking to room and arrived at room the carpets seemed very old and out dated. i loved the location and would stay again if you made it vegas like! thanks, Alex
