My Stay at El Cortez

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: The room was a good size and had a great bathroom. It's location on Fremont Street was perfect to me.
Cons: You need a swimming pool and or hottub!!!!!!!
Location: On Fremont Street, with easy access to restaurants, bars and the Street itself, but not too close to the noise
I was a little irritated at check in to realize that an $80.00 hold was going to be placed on my CC. I really didn't feel that was explained well enough online or in the paperwork that I printed out. However the man at the check in desk was still polite and showed me where I could find it on the paperwork I had printed out and brought with me. One of our room keys never worked the whole time either, although they tried to reprogram it twice. As for the rest of the stay, it was great! I have already recommended it to others and will definitely stay there again in the future. The location was just what I wanted and the staff was very friendly.

Very noisy

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Casino smelled clean.
Cons: Up grade room.
Location: Fremont street.
Room dirty , very noisy. Tile in bathroom coming off wall, rust coming out of the cracks from shower door. Tried to eat at the restaurant, wait 45 minutes 5 from the front of line. The place was over half empty!

Fun, pleasant and comfortable

Posted Dec 10, 2014
The location is really exciting , it's near all the attractions. Parking was PLENTIFUL and near the entrance. I felt safe and it's convenient. Checking in was a breeze along with their friendly staff. When we arrived to the room, it was very clean and nice. The decor was beautiful. The room also had a fridge and a safe for your personal belongings. Overall, it was a great experience!

Nice hotel, location not great

Posted Dec 9, 2014
We enjoyed our stay at the cabanas and everything about the room was very nice. The only thing we did not like about the hotel was the location. It seemed to be in a somewhat scary part of town. I'm not familiar with the whole Freemont area, so it's possible that it's all like this. I didn't feel like I was gonna be robbed but I also wouldn't feel comfortable walking around with my wife and two little kids.
