We check in early and paid the 20.00 for early check in when we tried to turn tv on it wouldn't work so we called to get fixed about 12:00 am and then about 5pm it was still not working and then was told they didn't know when it would be fixed and then the shower pressure was super low. We then decided to talk to manager she was very understanding and removed the early check in and everything was fixed by later that night. The staff was great to us.

My reason of me being disappointed with my stay...

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Room Service, Concierge, Free Meals, and other services were great!
Cons: Courtesy toward customers.
Location: Monorail up/down strip, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam
To be honest, I was very pleased with all of the rooms and the views, the concierge, the room services, the free meals, the shows, etc. Just one thing during my stay at the Excalibur threw me off a bit. I was all the way down at the other end of the Strip around 12:10AM, away from Excalibur, when I got a phone call from the hotel (Excalibur) telling me to come back to the hotel immediately because I need to remove all of my items from my room and put them into another room. The reason being.....there was a fire alarm going off on the floor my room was on (17th) that late at night. They were forcing everyone on that floor to move to another floor. Why didn't you wait until I came in to my room? Did you know I had over $70 lying in front of me on the table at the casino down the strip when I heard on the phone there was a fire alarm going off at the hotel where my family was at? I was required to leave the money at the table because I was in the middle of a game. The hotel owes me $70!!

Better than expected

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Our room was nicer than expected. The hotel seems to be in the process of updating and we were in one of the updated rooms after seeing the rooms of other family members in a different tower. We were in tower 2. For the price you can't beat it and the location is great

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
I try to stay at the Excalibur whenever I travel to Vegas, but I was truly disappointed this trip. First of all they charged a resort fee and the WiFi did not work in the room. Our room view was horrible because we were facing a brick wall. One day the ice machine was not working, so after coming in the room from being out all day, we were told to go to another floor for ice. The elevators were very hot and felt like the heat was on. The one time requested our room to be cleaned, our sheets were not changed and the bed was not made and when reported to front desk, we were told it would be reported to a supervisor, but we never heard anything I will never stay at the Excalibur again and would not recommend that hotel to anyone.

There were staff at the enterance who would try to sell us timeshares every time we went to and from our room which became very annoying. Our room itself could have used some updates- the walls of the room had several spots where you could clearly see there had once been paintings or mirrors that had been taken down.

Decent but not great

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Price was good.
Cons: Open all pools earlier to avoid overcrowding. Get rid of the timeshare salespeople who asked us if we want to see a free show every time we walk by.
Location: Very convenient to MGM, New York and Luxor hotels. A bit of a walk to mid-strip area.
Hotel employees were friendly and helpful, and check in/check out process was smooth. Hotel location and condition and value were OK if you are looking for a budget friendly place on the strip.

Close to major strip hotels

Cons: Interior design.
Nice 2 night stay for Fathers Day. Comfortable room. The thing I noticed this past year when I visited twice, is a bad deoderizer smell..strong & unpleasant.
