Good starting location for exploring "the strip"Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Location, ease of travel to other hotels via walkways and trams, good entertainment at Tournament of Kings, most everything under one roof.
Cons: More signs; maybe "you are here" maps? Parts of the fixtures and furniture in the room look brand new, others need replacing. Greeter for arrivals?
Location: Excellent. Easy to get around to other hotels, use the trams and monorail, elevated walkways.
Excalibur is a big hotel. A bit confusing to find the registration desk when we arrived by cab from the airport at the front door. Signage for navigating could be better. Some employees were valuable sources of information, others gave us wrong directions or admitted not knowing. Food court represented a good selection, buffet under renovation and not available. The Italian restaurant was very pleasant, excellent food. We tended to eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner. Found it annoying to be greeted by salespeople (time shares) as if they were hotel staff offering assistance or pleasantries, to get a conversation started. The employees at the Box Office and the Bell Captain's desk were very helpful, had pleasant personalities. Room was clean, had all the necessities, t v and WiFi worked perfectly. The mattress was too soft. It seemed noisy at night, a sound like wind blowing outdoors. There were no major make or break deficiencies. I would stay there again.

Much better than expected! It was very quiet on our floor and actually able to sleep unlike other places have stayed in the past. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Feels a little cheaper than other hotels on the strip. Worth what you pay though.

lv experiencePosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: The room
Cons: Lower prices of restaurant food or at least offer a free meal to 1st time guests.
Location: Fremont St. and the overall look of the city
our stay in LV was made even btter by the accomodations at Excalubur. One of the ladies was an elderly 80 yr old who's life wish was to see Las Vegas one time. She called your hotel her castle. This made our stay even more enjoyable.
