Good for when you really want to be able to cookPosted Oct 30, 2013
Overall: This is a good choice for people who are looking to save money and don't mind dealing with maybe 1-2 less-than-ideal aspects in return for a cheap place to stay in downtown Las Vegas. The good: price, 15 min walk to the strip, breakfast-to-go (muffins, coffee, tea, oatmeal--think of it as a pared-down continental breakfast), the staff (very pleasant, professional, and helpful) The bad: the room smelled quite strongly and unpleasantly of whatever food the previous occupants had made, but we got used to it (within about an hour) each time we returned to the room. Other people might find this a dealbreaker. Other comments: They are pet-friendly (that could be good or bad, depending on the person). For its proximity to the railroad and to (on some days) the airport's flightpaths, it was relatively quiet. Noise-sensitive folks should bring earplugs.

As well, it is great to read that our staff provided you with such great service. Still, I am sorry that your room had an odor upon arrival. Our maintenance staff is working to eliminate this. Thank you again for your kind words. The staff and I would love to provide you with another comfortable stay in the future.

Nice Hotel close to the stripPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The kitchen and friendly staff.
Cons: I wish I had longer to stay!!!
Location: Very close to the strip and restruarts
This Hotel was like the comfort of home with access to the the excietmant and fun of the Los Vegas strip right around the street. It was a great place to retreat for the strip in a relaxed and a quiet atmostpher. Pet are welcom and have a place to play outside. The kitchen was fully supplied with a regridgerator, stove, dishes and pots & pans. A TV in each room with plugs for charging my GPS watch...which I bought on the way and was using EARLY in the morning. Grap and go breakfast was still open when I returned. The girl that checked us in made a change to the room I reserved to accomadate us and keep us in a non-smoking room on the first floor. She even called the room to follow up and see if we needed anything.

Bumpy Start, quick recoveryPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: I love this Extended Stay because all the rooms are suites! You have a living area and a separate bedroom with a walk in closet and a bathroom with a
Cons: Maybe shaded car park? Other than that, it feels like a lovely little village.
Location: You can get to the Strip in about 5 minutes if you go the back way over Hotel Road. If you go directly over Flamingo Road, you are looking at 20 min
The host accidentally rented me a room that was marked DNR, but he quickly recovered and got me into a lovely room on the quiet side of the hotel..almost at desk closing!

Great site for DefconPosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a great hotel to stay at if you have a car because your car is right by you and not a long hike through the hotel/casino. It's also not that far to walk to the strip and a very short walk to the Rio and other casinos by that. It's nice in Vegas to have both free wifi (though rate limited) and a full freezer, fridge, and microwave. A great location for those attending Defcon (at Rio) which is why I have stayed there twice now the past two years. The biggest negative, which is covered here already, is that the AC is in the main room and to keep the bedroom cool you end up with the main room being a bit cold. I brought an extra fan to use in the doorway along with the built-in fan the hotel has and that helped.

family of 5 stay aug 2013Posted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms was a cute suite. With a pull out couch. Room was very suitable for my 3 kids. Bathroom looks like chemicals have never touched it. Not much channels to choose from, Wifi sucked. Breakfast is just coffee and some breakfast bars, Not what I expected. We did enjoy the exercise and pool area. Overall it was nice place to stay for 4 days. Not too far from the strip about 3 miles.

Couldn't expect much more. It's no Bellagio or Ceasar's. Pros: Somewhat affordable priced, kitchenette, and separate living/bathroom, free in-room Wifi. Cons: No housekeeping if staying less than 7 days, there is absolutely nothing in the nearby vicinity, expect sketchy guests, not a very safe feeling walking anywhere from the hotel, dark hallways due to many lights being out, daily breakfast of fruit and coffee is served only until 9:30 AM, no shuttle service. Cons specific to my experience: Booked non-smoking an hour before arriving, only smoking available upon arrival, originally assigned room in back of hotel with dark hallways and sketchy guests commenting on the pretty girl (me) staying there at midnight, moved rooms next day, however the showerhead seemed to be clogged w/ little pressure, waited 30 min for a taxi requested by front desk which never came.
