Depends who and what you get

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Didn't have the king room we booked (rude guy at check in said we had to check in earlier to get what we booked) hahha what?? Shower dripped the entire stay...water torture chamber! Other than that it was fine. Most other staff was friendly which made up for it.

Nice Rooms, Great Location

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Parts of the hotel are outdated and need work, the bathrooms need updating in the rooms.
We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo Hotel. The hallways in the hotel require new carpeting and updates. We stayed in a renovated room, but the bathroom needed some updating. The location is great!!

Great cheap hotel in the centre of the strip

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Pool good; birds good, location good.
Cons: Took ages to check-in; line too long need more people for check-in. Shower in bathroom constantly dripped and drinks @ pool expensive!
Location: Great location; couldn't ask for better.
Had a great time; Location of hotel was great. Pretty much middle of strip opposite Bellagio/Ceasars. Close to everything

Excellent value for location on Las Vegas Strip

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location, price, customer service...and the 5 O'Clock Somewhere bar in Margaritaville!
Cons: Bathrooms perhaps given a revamp.
Location: Flamingo is slap-bang in the middle of The Strip. The Bellagio Fountains, Caesars Palace Forum shops, Mirage volcano are all a short walk away.
Flamingo hotel has a wonderful central position on the Las Vegas Strip. If you don't want to walk everywhere, the North and Southbound bus stops are nearby. Our room was perfectly acceptable and great value. The bathroom was a little bit dated, (but we didn't go all the way to Vegas to have a bath!!). A nice hot shower every morning and we were on our way. The gardens and wildlife at the rear of the hotel are peaceful and tranquil, they provide an amazing respite to the madness, noise and general craziness of the Vegas Strip. We would return to this hotel again without question.

Flamingo was a much better deal 5 years ago.

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Staff was nice. Bed was off the chart comfortable.
Cons: Update facility carpets in hallways, and bathrooms... some of our fixtures were broken too.
Location: This location was great as it was in the CENTER of the strip with loads of night life around you and close to other places of interest.
Showers were cold 3 out of 5 nights. Room didn't get cleaned 2 days. Hotel staff was very nice. Hotel is just getting very dated. It was much better 5 years ago when I stayed there.

Great value in vegas

Posted Oct 15, 2014
The Flamingo is in a great central location on the strip. Nice grounds and pools. The staff and dealers are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hallways are in need of a carpet upgrade but the rooms are well-appointed. The casino is on the smoky side but not the worst. If you are looking for upscale, stay at the Wynn. If you want clean, friendly, and unpretensious for a great price, stay here.

Needs updating

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Access to the LINQ - a beautiful outdoor shopping strip - and access to the High Roller. Very nice!
Cons: We had heard the Flamingo had made improvements which is why we went. As stated above, they still need to make improvements.
Location: LINQ, High Roller, Caesar's Palace Forum shops and restaurants, Margaritaville
Hotel elevators were creaking, dirty, and missing buttons. The carpets were filthy in the hallways. The rooms were cold and lacking comfort and warmth. Despite that it was a non-smoking room, it smelled. Paper thin walls which we could hear conversations and bathroom sounds from the rooms on either side of us ... not pleasant. We ended up changing rooms because the first one we had was overlooking a loud construction site and the closet doors were off the track.

Lousy

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Nothing, will not stay there again.
Cons: 2 chairs in room. New tub & vanity would be nice.
Location: Location was good as it is in the middle, but I will be advising people to stay clear of the Flamingo.
Booked in 08/14 and the rooms were terrible. Asked for kingsize bed and had to be moved once. Only 1 small desk chair in room for a couple not enough. Other people stated they were in new rooms. This room had not been redone except for paint. Will never stay there again. The first night the air conditioner was rattling so badly, we had to shut it off to get to sleep.
