Great central location on the strip

Nice room. Great pool and wildlife habitat. Central location on the strip makes getting to other hotels easy.

We didn't like the long lines for checking in. For having a casino in hotel, food prices should be a little lower or incentives for guests who are gambling.

Nice location. poor rooms

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: The rooms need to be upgraded and need more amenities. My room didn't even have an iron
Location: Lots of shops and restaurants. Close to everything on the strip. you can easily walk.
The paint and wood was chipped, sink clogged, and tub leaked. They upgraded the décor, but the room needed to be painted and bathroom needs to be upgraded.

Pros: Location, monorail etc...
Cons: short checkin linnes they are a long wait
Location: Monorail, food court area & shopping Mall. Of course casino,
good central location for downtown Vegas. Shopping and dining mall area recently add is a bonus and welcomed site. Rooms even though recently renovated are already showing aging. certainly could use some painting seemed very dirty on the walls.

My new Vegas go-to.

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Centrally located. Great pools.
Cons: Bathroom TV did not work. Policy not allowing PayPal Business Debit is rediculous. They are linked to bank accounts and credit cards. Change this.
Location: On the Promenade. Ride the High Roller at night. See Legends in Concert.
GO! King Non-Smoking. #24006. Great room. Amazing bed. TV did not work in bathroom. Otherwise fabulous.

The check-in line was long but the overall experience at the Flamingo was good. I would stay here again.

Needs a facelift and customer service training

Posted Jul 30, 2015
The flamingo is a classic, but it is in need of some updates. The elevators were really scary, making odd noises and there was never a guarantee you would get off on the right floor. Some of the elevator floor numbers were worn off, so the staff wrote the numbers in with a sharpie. Our room was alright except for the bathroom. The floor was gross and the shower had a hole in the ceiling stuffed with toilet paper. We told the staff about this the night before we left, and they said they would refund some money and check it out. At check out the next day, the employee didn't see anything noted, talked to his manager and came back very defensive stating we shouldn't have waited until the night before checkout to notifying them. They said they had no proof that we didn't put the hole in the ceiling either. It was very rude and uncalled for. He also said since we "waited" to tell them, they now had to close down the room. His tone, body language, and attitude was offensive and demonstrated how NOT to treat a customer. We will not be coming back to the flamingo.

Good hotel with flaws

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and proximity to The Strip.
Cons: The elevators, check in times
The hotel itself was clean and the room was pleasant with a good view of The Strip. However, the line to check in was extremely long and inefficient with only one employee working the check in/check out desk. This is the last thing a traveler wants to see after spending hours waiting for planes etc. There was also an issue with the elevators- although there were several of them, only 1-2 were working for the majority of our stay. The line for an elevator to the higher floors was sometimes a 10 minute wait, which is disappointing. The pool was beautiful, but the security there was very strict. We felt like we were being checked through airport security again just to go swimming, when we were clearly guests who had a right to be there.

Nice, but...

Pros: Clean room
Cons: Pool closed at 6PM!
Location: High roller
Room clean and comfortable! Elevators slow and unreliable
