Good location, center strip. Hotel needs work!

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Self parking is not good. Elevators in serious need of attention. The rooms are hit and miss. Some ate old and dated while others are newly remodeled. You never know what you'll get. Staff was good this time around, although we have had major issues in the past as it pertains to service. Only stayed here because the location was ideal for the Las Vegas marathon. Next year I will consider another hotel close to the finish line.

Pros: Great location. Pool is very nice
Cons: Some of the rooms have been updated but many of them still need updating. The rooms that have been updated are nice
Location: Great Location, right in the middle of the strip
Lots of room for improvement when it comes to service. I'm in Vegas approximately once a month and have stayed at most of the hotels on the strip. Customer service at the flamingo is the poorest of all of the hotels I have stayed. I have stayed here twice in the last 30 days and received the same poor service each visit. But the price is very good for the location.

Best part about the hotel is the location

Posted Nov 17, 2014
The hotel is in the middle of the strip making it easy to walk everywhere. The hotel needs major renovations.

Nice location

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Location on the strip
Cons: Great location but I would not stay here again. The hallway carpets were filthy. Luckily our room was not carpeted. Hallway walls pretty banged up.
Location: Great location on the strip. Close to many things - we were able to use transit fairly close by. Cabs were plentiful on departure day.
Great location but I would not stay here again. The hallway carpets were filthy. Luckily our room was not carpeted. Hallway walls pretty banged up. Some paint and new carpets would make a real difference. Just a tired old lady. Great front desk staff though! Housekeeping could be stepped up. No bathmat for 3 days. Ice buckets not emptied etc.

Cave Dwelling with no customer service.

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Leaving! The poker room staff were nice.
Cons: Everything. The lighting, these smoky aroma of the hotel that they attempt to cover with a nauseating perfume smell.
Location: Good location but I still would not recommend staying there.
We checked in at about 3:45PM as the line up was long and the check in time was 4:00PM. We were promptly told that the early check in (15 minutes early) would cost us an extra $20.00 or we faced going to the back of the long line. The room had such poor lighting that it felt like cave dwelling for 4 days. If you want to read in bed bring a flashlight or headlamp. The TV in the room is the smallest that I can remember in my last 10 years of travel. There were no blankets on the bed or in the closets. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and there was no stopper for the bathtub. We were only given 3 towels. I asked for an extra towel and we were reduced to 2 towels for the rest of our stay. They charge by the hour to extend your check out time.

Outdated, but excellent location.

The facilities are outdated, but you can't beat the central location.

Great location in the heart of the Vegas Strip

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Nice place with good amenities in the heart of the Strip. The hotel is a little worn and could use some updating.
