Bad experience

Posted May 4, 2015
Room was dirty, too small, bed was very uncomfortable, the only good thing was the friendliness of the valet staff. I would never stay here again. Rather sleep in my car.

Posted Apr 28, 2015

"Boutique" means "tiny"

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: Location! Right at one end of the Fremont Street Experience, and close to some major bus routes. And the low cost, of course.
Cons: The building is showing its age. Some new windows would be in order.
A tiny room, with no real amenities. But having stayed there before, I expected that. You're not paying for things you aren't going to use - basically you get just a bed and bathroom. You want room service? Put some clothes on and go down to Du-Pars on the main floor; it's open 24/7.

So so

I found the staff helpful but the rooms terrible. They need to invest in sound proofing. And more amenities.

Book a suite

The suite was perfect from decor to comfort. Staff were welcoming. In a suite you hear no noise what so ever.

Staff Great, Hotel itself needs works.

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Staff was excellent.
Cons: Make sure the phone lines work, consider discounting (resort fee) if not.
Location: Lots to do it's on Fremont Street!
The staff at Golden Gate were excellent. My wife tried getting ahold of me, and the front desk staffer, Giovanni was exceptional. The phone in my room didn't work, he tried calling my line multiple times and then sent hotel security up to make sure I was ok. I hope the hotel recognizes this as great service, I sure did. However, the line was not rectified during my stay which reflects on management, not the front desk people. This is not a critique on Golden Gate but Las Vegas needs to get the smokers to smoke outside as cigarette butts were put out in the hallway late at night, which were cleaned up in the am.

En plein dowtown de Vegas

Posted Apr 16, 2015

Excellent Hotel Right on Freemont

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The fact that it was right on Freemont! You walk out the front and the fun begins! Also the price was awesome!
Cons: I would have like to have a blow dryer, and coffee maker in our room!
Location: Location was perfect...you can stroll from one end of Freemont to the other and back!
This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely old hotel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms aren't too big but you just sleep and shower in them anyways.
