Great cheap hotelPosted Jul 15, 2014
What can I say, you get what you pay for and at an average of $15 a night, who can complain? The room was small and out of date, but the bed and air conditioner were great! Recommended for all those who plan on just sleeping there.

Great Bargain Hotel!Posted Jul 11, 2014
While this place may not be a 5 star, it is excellent for its quality. I stayed in their most basic room option, and considering my room fee was only $14, id say it was excellent. Clean and comfortable bed, big TV, private bathroom. The shower in my room was broken, (the water was REALLY hot), but the front desk reimbursed me my resort fee, so all was good in my book. Plus $3 shrimp cocktails in house!! Pretty awesome for a bargain room. Safe, though seedy atmosphere. Make sure to ask for a room away from Fremont Street if you're a light sleeper!

Good hotel if all you need is sleep and shower.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: close to all the attractions downtown
Cons: room temperature, resort fee (it's high compared to others for what you offer) and deposit holds.
Location: it's right off Fremont so once you're out their door, everything is available to you.
check in was good, staff was pleasant. Room is small compared to other hotels, but we only have stayed on the strip and this was our first time downtown. Bathroom looks nothing like the picture given for a queen room online. Air conditioner is only on, there is no temperature control given. We were given a fan to help cool the room down.

Great location on Fremont street in Old Vegas!Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location and food at Dupars..friendly staff.
Cons: Fix the drains in the bathtubs! (Room 337!)
Location: Right on Fremont Street..one step to FUN!!!!
We ahd a great time at the Golden Gate....definitely eat at Dupars and have a shrimp cocktail! Get a suite if you want a large new room..We were in one of the really old rooms...very small, but nicely decorated. Bathroom was tiny and the tub drained VERY slowly..but we were cool and comfortable in the room. Great location on Fremont Street and easy valet parking!

We thought it was a great location at first, room was small, but nice and clean. Then we went to bed and realized we were a few yards away from the Fremont Street main stage. Very loud.

Nice hotel. Close to FremontPosted Jun 30, 2014
First time my Husband & I stayed here together. Friendly Staff. Had preferred NonSmoking room but our room wasn't as bad of a smokey room as we thought it was going to be. Only had to use Febreeze Twice

Hotel needs some TLCPosted Jun 22, 2014
Although the hotel opened in 1906, the functionality of the rooms should be up to par. Shower plumbing was horrible (unable to control the HOT water), phone line was dead and linen was reused. Resort fees should not be applicable to this hotel.
