Great for a drunken night out on Fremont

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Shower was tiny and broken (water turn on in shower separated from walls. Also, If I was 350lbs I wouldn't have fit in the bathroom. View was pretty neat. Front desk staff was mostly friendly. However, casino personnel were absolutely rude, (cashiers, bartenders, table dealers) just no customer urgency what so ever. All in all if you're just going to use your room for sleeping after a night getting drunk then this is the place to be nothing more.

Love staying here. The room was really small but nice & to go to the pool you had to go to a different hotel down the road. Staff was friendly & casino was fun! Not so big you get lost lol. Would go back again!

It is a nice option to just spend the night, but not for a long stay

They demand extra 23-dollar resort fee per day.

It doesn't matter if you're not going to use swimming pool, fitness, etc. You have to pay extra 23 dollar resort fee. I don't understand why they don't just include it in the rent, if we never had a choice at all. You can't sleep until 1 am because of the shows and concerts going on, on the Fremont Street, just in front of the hotel. Well, I had to deal with it. That was just Vegas itself.

An Experience

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Staff!
Cons: Tina, my roulette dealer, could have been more gentle. Lol Sup Tina!
Well, I had an amazing time at the Golden Gate. I had stayed on the Strip for a bachelorette party but my flight was a day after everyone's so I needed to find a cheap place for myself. The GG was incredibly affordable but I do know why my room was open. It overlooked the Plaza and there was like a 3 hour Bon Jovi cover band concert going on. Yes, maybe I wanted to end my night a little early by Vegas standards but it was my last night and homegirl was tired. The light show and music was comical and made for an amazing story (I slept in my noise canceling headphones for 2 hours). The bed was comfortableeeeeee and the toiletries were top notch. The bathroom does look like its from an apartment I had that was decorated in the 80s (what's up sea foam tile?!) but it got the job done. They don't have gym facilities on site but at their sister hotel just a few minutes on Fremont. The guy checking me in asked "are you going to workout?" Which made me a little paranoid...like...."should I? Is it that bad???" But when he realized my face, we laughed about it. Staff was just really personable. I'm an Old Vegas girl I guess!!

Worst hotel ever!!!!!!!!

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Terrible experience over all. Worst service ever. Price no cheaper than other in the strip for the weekdays, no notice about parking is in outside of hotel, had to drag luggage walking through a red light to check in, don't be surprised if were asked to pay for parking and be stuck in parking exit, as no one bother to tell you that you can just press the button when entering parking and press the call button asking to exit without Pay. Or get your parking ticket VALIDATED at the front desk (this is something you have to figure out after being stuck at parking exit and ask around.) Too many things annoying you while stay in this shirty place. Got cheap hippies and tattooed losers around you with loud punk noise music all night long. You are guaranteed to be disappointed and would never want to be back in Vegas again if staying I this hotel for one night. That is how magic IT IS. AVOID IF U CAN!!!
